The success of the August Revolution in 1945 was the inevitable result of a long preparation process, under the wise leadership of our Party and Leader Nguyen Ai Quoc - Ho Chi Minh , and not due to "luck" as reactionary elements spread on social networks.

79 years ago, under the leadership of the Party and President Ho Chi Minh, the people of the whole country rose up to carry out a general uprising to seize revolutionary power. From August 14 to 18, 1945, the General Uprising broke out and achieved victory in the rural areas of the Northern Delta, parts of the Central and Southern regions.
On August 19, the uprising to seize power was victorious in Hanoi; followed by victories in Hue, Hai Phong, Quang Binh, Quang Tri, Binh Dinh, Gia Lai, Bac Lieu, Saigon - Gia Dinh, Kon Tum, Soc Trang, Vinh Long, Tra Vinh , Tay Ninh, Ben Tre... Within just 15 days at the end of August 1945, the General Uprising achieved complete victory.
The victory of the August Revolution in 1945 was a historical event that not only had great significance for the Vietnamese people but also had a huge impact on the national liberation movement of oppressed and enslaved peoples throughout Asia, Africa, Latin America...
However, for hostile, reactionary, and traitorous forces, the August Revolution was their shame and failure. Therefore, for a long time, every time we celebrate the success of the August Revolution, celebrate National Day (September 2) - Independence Day, they launch sabotage tricks, distort, fabricate, and falsify historical truths, deny the achievements of the entire nation's struggle, divide the great national unity bloc; defame the national leaders; and lower the leadership role of our Party...
This year, they still use the same tricks but with new, more sinister and sinister methods than previous years by applying information technology to cut and combine information (in the style of "stuffing words into mouths"), images, distorting and twisting the truth, swapping concepts - "vaguely cheating"...
These new tricks have been carried out in a sophisticated, methodical, systematic manner, with investment in time, technology and finance... This leads to consequences when accessing information, not only those with limited and one-sided awareness, but sometimes even those with qualifications and extensive awareness can misunderstand the nature of the problem or doubt the correctness of the problem.
In particular, some reactionary organizations have "innovated" their propaganda methods, fabricating seemingly more "scientific" information through the forms of thematic commentary, historical storytelling, historical discussions... to broadcast on social networks and some press and media agencies abroad.
They believe that the rapid success of the August Revolution in 1945 in Vietnam was nothing more than a "lucky event" brought about by objective circumstances, thanks to the so-called "power vacuum" when "the Japanese army surrendered to the Allies"...
It is worth mentioning that among those who call themselves “scientists” and “researchers”, some do not fully understand, but there are also those who were born and raised in Vietnam, witnessed the changes and inherited the achievements brought about by the August Revolution but are ungrateful, showing “deliberate ignorance” in order to lower the leadership role of our Party and President Ho Chi Minh, and lower the role of the masses in this great revolution...
Historical facts have proven that the success of the August Revolution in 1945 was the inevitable result of a long preparation process, going through three major revolutionary movements and climaxes, preparing forces so that when the immediate situation arose, under the wise leadership of the Party and Leader Nguyen Ai Quoc - Ho Chi Minh, the entire Vietnamese people rose up together to carry out a revolution to overthrow the rule of Japanese fascists and their henchmen, and take power into the hands of the people.
Just talking about preparing forces to carry out a victorious general uprising, as early as 1941, the Party Central Committee issued a directive: Promote the building of widespread political forces, on that basis, build the people's armed forces and paramilitary forces, creating a large force with high combined strength.
On December 22, 1944, in Cao Bang, the Vietnam Propaganda Liberation Army was officially established with 3 platoons, consisting of 34 soldiers. This was the first main unit of the revolutionary armed forces and the predecessor of the Vietnam People's Army.
On May 15, 1945, in Thai Nguyen, the unification ceremony of the two teams Vietnam Propaganda Liberation Army and National Salvation Army with the new name Vietnam Liberation Army was held. In the August 1945 general uprising, Vietnam Liberation Army played a very important role, effectively supporting the political forces in carrying out the general uprising to seize power.
History has proven that, during the period from when the Japanese army staged a coup to overthrow the French (March 9, 1945) to the day of the successful general uprising in Hanoi (August 19, 1945), there was no "power vacuum" in Vietnam.
Immediately after the coup that overthrew the French, the Japanese 38th Army Group quickly established a ruling apparatus, gaining control over the entire territory of Vietnam and Indochina. The “Tran Trong Kim Government” was a government apparatus set up by the Japanese army. Although it did not hold real power, it still had all the ministries and “government agencies”. In fact, until August 17, 1945, this Government still sent people to contact and “bargain” with the Viet Minh to demand a share of power.
The truth is that we seized the opportunity. In August 1945, the National Party Conference held in Tan Trao (Tuyen Quang) concluded: "A very good opportunity for us to gain independence has come", decided to launch a nationwide uprising to seize power from the Japanese fascists and their lackeys before the Allies entered Indochina; proposed three principles to ensure the victory of the general uprising, which were: Concentration, unity, timeliness...
It can be said that the birth of the Democratic Republic of Vietnam on September 2, 1945 was the inevitable result of a long, thoughtful, and thorough preparation process in terms of policies and guidelines, building revolutionary strength and the heroic fighting spirit, the aspiration for national independence and freedom of our people, under the leadership of the Party and Uncle Ho. It was absolutely not a matter of “luck” and there was no “power vacuum” when we successfully carried out the August Revolution in 1945…
