After round 24 of LPBank V-League 2024/25, there are 8 teams officially staying in the league, including: Nam Dinh Green Steel, Hanoi FC, The Cong Viettel, Ha Tinh, CAHN, Hai Phong, Thanh Hoa and Binh Duong.

In the relegation battle, in theory, it is a race between 6 teams: HAGL (28 points), Quang Nam (25 points), Ho Chi Minh City (25 points), SLNA (23 points), Binh Dinh (21 points) and SHB Da Nang (21 points).

Among them, HAGL, with a 2-2 draw against SHB Da Nang in the previous round, is not directly relegated but is still at risk of having to play the play-off. However, this scenario only happens if the team from the mountain town loses both remaining matches, and the second-to-last team, Binh Dinh, wins all 3 matches to get 30 points.

HAGL basically no longer worries about relegation.

Thus, the possibility of relegation is mainly concentrated on the teams Quang Nam, Ho Chi Minh City, SLNA, Binh Dinh and SHB Da Nang. Of which, the two teams at the bottom are at the highest risk.

In the last two rounds, SHB Da Nang will meet Ha Tinh (away) and SLNA (home). Coach Le Duc Tuan's team hopes to earn points in the match against Ha Tinh as the opponent has not been in good form recently. It is likely that the race to stay in the V-League this season will be over when SHB Da Nang plays the "reverse final" against SLNA in the final round.

As for Binh Dinh, although this team has 3 matches left to play (1 match more than the competitors competing for the relegation spot), the upcoming make-up match will be very difficult for the team from the land of Vo when they meet CAHN.

Binh Dinh and SHB Da Nang are at high risk of being relegated to the First Division next season.

Binh Dinh's remaining two matches are against Ho Chi Minh City (away, round 25) and Hanoi FC (home, round 26). Both of these matches are also tense because Ho Chi Minh City needs points to stay in the league, while Hanoi still has a chance to win the championship if they win in round 25 and Thep Xanh Nam Dinh loses.

In case the championship is determined in the penultimate round, Hanoi FC will have no chance and will definitely have the 2nd place overall, so there is no need to play at full strength in the "final" match with Binh Dinh.

For the teams above, SLNA, TP.HCM and Quang Nam, it will not be easy at all in the last two rounds, because any misstep can cause them to fall into the position of being directly relegated or playing the play-off.
