The State Auditor General has just signed Decision No. 459/QD-KTNN to audit the construction activities and the management and use of investment capital for the Quang Ngai - Hoai Nhon section of the North - South Expressway Construction Project in the Eastern phase 2021 - 2025, using public investment capital.
The objective of this audit is to determine the accuracy and truthfulness of the data and financial information (investment capital sources, investment implementation costs) of the Project; evaluate compliance with the law; evaluate the economy , effectiveness and efficiency in the management and use of investment capital of the Project; detect shortcomings and inadequacies in mechanisms and policies to make recommendations to competent authorities for amendments and supplements...
The audit scope is from the Project implementation date to February 29, 2024 and related periods before and after. The audit location is at the audited unit (Project Management Board 2 - Ministry of Transport ). The audit period is 50 days from the date of announcement of the Audit Decision.
According to Decision No. 459, the audit team consists of 12 members led by Mr. Nguyen Quang Tuan, Head of Department of State Audit V.
The Quang Ngai - Hoai Nhon section project belongs to the North - South Eastern Expressway Construction Project, phase 2021 - 2025.
The total length of the route under the Project is 88km, of which the section through Quang Ngai province is 60.3km long and the section through Binh Dinh province (Hoai Nhon town) is 27.7km long. In Quang Ngai province, the route passes through 4 districts and towns (Tu Nghia 4.7km long; Nghia Hanh 17.34km long; Mo Duc district 10.81km long and Duc Pho town 27.45km long).
The total investment of the Project is 20,469.69 billion VND, invested by Project Management Board 2. The project started on January 1, 2023; expected to be completed in September 2026.
