Checking the quality of tourism services in 11 localities.

The Vietnam National Tourism Administration has just issued a plan to conduct inspections on compliance with legal regulations and ensure the quality of tourism services in many key localities in 2026, including Khanh Hoa.

According to the plan, the inspection will be carried out in the second, third, and fourth quarters of 2026. The inspection areas include the northern region (Quang Ninh, Lao Cai, Hanoi ), the central region (Hue, Da Nang, Khanh Hoa, Gia Lai), and the southern region (Ho Chi Minh City, Can Tho, Dong Nai, An Giang).

Tourists take a tour of the islands and beaches in Nha Trang Bay.

The inspection team will work with the Departments of Culture, Sports and Tourism of the provinces, international travel businesses, tourist destinations, practicing tour guides, tourism vocational training institutions, and star-rated accommodation establishments in the area.

The inspection focused on state management of travel, accommodation, and tour guide activities; the issuance, renewal, and revocation of travel business licenses and tour guide cards; and the assessment and recognition of tourist destinations. Specifically for accommodation establishments, the inspection team emphasized maintaining star rating standards, staff quality, security and order, fire prevention and control, and environmental hygiene. The management agency will also strictly penalize establishments that falsely advertise their quality or arbitrarily use star rating information without official recognition.

The inspection activities aim to strengthen the effectiveness of state management, enhance the responsibility of businesses and individuals operating in the tourism sector, and ultimately build a civilized, safe, and professional tourism environment.

This is one of the key solutions for Vietnam's tourism industry to achieve its goal of welcoming 22 to 23 million international visitors and serving over 130 million domestic tourists in 2026, moving towards becoming a key economic sector contributing approximately 13 to 14% of GDP by 2030.
