Comprehensive inspection of unit strength and training work at Naval Region 5

From October 6 to 10, a working delegation of the Navy led by Vice Admiral Nguyen An Phong, Secretary of the Party Committee and Political Commissar of the Navy, conducted a comprehensive inspection of "exemplary and typical" strong units and a thematic inspection of ship officer training in 2025 at Naval Region 5.

Vice Admiral Nguyen An Phong, Party Secretary and Political Commissar of the Navy, also worked with the Standing Committee of the Party Committee of Naval Region 5.

The working delegation included Rear Admiral Vu Anh Tuan, Chief of Political Affairs of the Navy; Head of the General Staff, the Navy Logistics and Engineering Department and representatives of functional agencies of the Navy.

The inspection content focuses on political education ; awareness of officers and soldiers about the task situation; implementation of resolutions, directives and conclusions of superiors; books and order of party and political work; organization, management and use of weapons and equipment; training document system; combat readiness, building regulations, discipline management; logistics and technical assurance; combat deployment tables at ports and at sea...

Concluding the inspection, Vice Admiral Nguyen An Phong acknowledged and commended the achievements of officers and soldiers of Naval Region 5 in recent times.

Through inspection, it was found that Naval Region 5 has synchronously, comprehensively, with focus and key solutions to improve the quality of building a strong, comprehensive, "exemplary, typical" unit; done well in political and ideological education; strictly maintained training and combat readiness; focused on practical training, training of bravery and situation handling skills for soldiers; ensured adequate and timely logistics and techniques for regular and unexpected tasks.

The unit's officers and soldiers are united, overcome difficulties, actively study, train, work, and complete assigned tasks well.

Speaking at the conclusion of the inspection, Vice Admiral Nguyen An Phong acknowledged and commended the achievements of officers and soldiers of Naval Region 5 in recent times.

Vice Admiral Nguyen An Phong requested that Naval Region 5 continue to perform well its training and combat readiness tasks; strictly maintain discipline and regime; not be passive and surprised in any situation; successfully complete the tasks in the remaining months of 2025 and the following years. At the same time, do well the preparation work for the meaningful 50th anniversary of Naval Region 5's founding so that each officer and soldier can be proud of its tradition and strive to complete the assigned tasks well...

Agencies and units in Naval Region 5 continue to review the organization and staffing in accordance with regulations, especially combat ships to ensure 100% of the military personnel; improve the quality of ship staff; promote production increase work; pay close attention to the regime and life of officers and soldiers.
