- On July 16 and 17, the inspection team of the Central Bank for Social Policies (CBSP) led by Ms. Le Thi Duc Hanh, Deputy General Director of CBSP Central Head of the credit policy inspection team at the provincial branch of the Vietnam Bank for Social Policies.
According to the report at the inspection session, to ensure that policy credit activities are maintained stably, continuously and effectively, the Provincial Branch of the Vietnam Bank for Social Policies has proactively advised the Provincial People's Committee to promptly issue directive documents on policy credit activities when arranging commune-level administrative units and implementing 2-level local government. At the same time, the Provincial Branch of the Vietnam Bank for Social Policies has directed transaction offices to strictly maintain transaction schedules; report and advise the People's Committees of communes to arrange locations for the Vietnam Bank for Social Policies transactions, hang signs, signboards, suggestion boxes, etc.
Accordingly, currently, the Provincial Branch of the Vietnam Bank for Social Policies continues to maintain its operating method, keeping the old transaction points (194 transaction points) and savings and loan groups (2,054 groups).
As of July 17, the total outstanding loans of credit programs reached over VND5,412 billion, with 70,029 borrowers. The quality of credit activities has been maintained stably; overdue debt accounts for 0.064% of total outstanding debt and frozen debt accounts for 0.17% of total outstanding debt.
At the inspection session, delegates focused on discussing and clarifying the results achieved in the first 6 months of 2025 and after implementing the 2-level local government; raised difficulties and obstacles in the process of implementing policy credit activities after the administrative unit arrangement such as: some transaction sessions could not be carried out according to the publicly announced schedule due to the lack of synchronized data from the Central Government, the coordination in implementing the entrusted contents was still slow, some communes had not yet arranged transaction points within the premises of the commune People's Committee headquarters, and there were shortcomings in certifying authorization papers...
In his concluding remarks, the head of the inspection team acknowledged and commended the efforts of the Provincial Branch of the Vietnam Bank for Social Policies in implementing solutions to promptly adapt to the activities of the two-level local government, ensuring that policy credit is operated smoothly.
He suggested that in the coming time, the Provincial Branch of the Vietnam Bank for Social Policies should continue to closely follow the assigned tasks, advise and propose to local Party committees and authorities to promptly implement preferential credit programs; advise the Provincial People's Council and People's Committee to continue transferring local budget capital entrusted to the Vietnam Bank for Social Policies to lend to poor households and policy beneficiaries; strengthen inspection and supervision work; continue to pay attention to implementing training courses, coaching, and improving professional skills for officers concurrently working in policy credit activities...
During the program, the delegation inspected the actual trading session at Binh La Transaction Point and Hong Thai Transaction Point, Tan Van Commune.
