Kien Giang: Planting 3,500 trees in response to "Tree Planting Festival, eternal gratitude to Uncle Ho"

On February 19, at Linh Huynh Border Guard Station, more than 100 Border Guard officers and soldiers, local forces and youth union members attended the launching ceremony of "Tet tree planting to forever remember Uncle Ho" Spring Giap Thin 2024 organized by the Kien Giang Provincial Border Guard Command in coordination with the District Party Committee and People's Committee of Hon Dat District (Kien Giang Province).

By 2030, Kien Giang will become the national marine economic center.

Leaders of Kien Giang Provincial Border Guard and local authorities of Hon Dat district planted trees after the launching ceremony.

Immediately after the launching ceremony, Kien Giang Provincial Border Guard units simultaneously planted 3,500 trees and fruit trees in the Linh Huynh Border Guard Station.

The Border Guard Command of Kien Giang province has assigned the Party Committee and commanders of agencies and units to continue to do a good job of propaganda, disseminationand education , raising awareness for officers, soldiers and people of all walks of life in the area about the role, great significance and humanistic value of tree planting, afforestation, forest protection and ecological environment protection. Thereby creating a widespread movement, contributing to minimizing the impact of climate change and improving the quality of life.

It is known that, implementing Directive No. 45/CT-TTg of the Prime Minister on organizing the "Tet tree planting" movement and strengthening forest protection and development from the beginning of 2021, along with the Program of planting one billion trees "For a green Vietnam", from 2021 to present, Kien Giang Border Guard has coordinated with departments, branches, units and Party committees and authorities in the border area to plant nearly 20,000 trees of all kinds, reaching 100% of the set plan.

On the afternoon of November 21, in the coastal city of Phu Quoc, Kien Giang province, the Central Propaganda Department coordinated with the Kien Giang Provincial Party Committee and the Vietnam Photographers Association to organize the opening ceremony of the photo exhibition "Pride of a border strip" in 2023.

Kien Giang: Promoting propaganda on Vietnam - Cambodia border work

On the morning of November 22, in Phu Quoc City, Kien Giang Province, the Central Propaganda Department chaired and coordinated with the Central External Relations Department, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Border Guard Command, the Kien Giang Provincial Party Committee and relevant agencies to organize a conference to disseminate information on Vietnam - Cambodia land border work in 2023.

People in Kien Giang were examined and given medicine by doctors of Navy Region 5.

On December 20 and 21, Naval Region 5 organized medical examinations and provided free medicine to people in An Thoi ward, Phu Quoc city, Kien Giang province.
