Tay Ninh's socio-economic situation flourishes in many fields

On the morning of August 18, 2025, Tay Ninh Provincial People's Committee held a regular meeting for July and key tasks for August 2025. Attending the meeting were Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Van Ut and Vice Chairmen of the Provincial People's Committee.

Overview of the meeting

  In July, industrial production activities improved, the province's industrial production index (IIP) increased by 11.23% over the same period last year, and the cumulative increase of 7 months was 15.19%. Disbursement of public investment capital reached more than 7,643 billion VND, equal to 47.75% of the plan assigned by the Prime Minister, higher than the final result. For the National Target Program, the disbursement rate reached nearly 60%. During the month, the province granted 32 new domestic projects with registered capital of more than 12,244 billion VND and 24 FDI projects with 43.03 million USD. Accumulated from the beginning of the year, Tay Ninh attracted 121 FDI projects with a total capital of 638 million USD, an increase of more than 200 million USD compared to the final result.

The occupancy rate of industrial parks reached nearly 70%; industrial clusters reached 82%. Compensation and site clearance work achieved positive results, with a cumulative payment of more than 4,049 hectares to date, exceeding the target set by the Provincial Party Committee Resolution. Total state budget revenue reached nearly VND 32,342 billion, equal to 86.9% of the central government's estimate and up 33% over the same period. Domestic revenue alone reached VND 28,276 billion (90.2% of the estimate). Budget expenditure was VND 24,111 billion, up 28.3% over the same period, of which development investment expenditure accounted for nearly VND 11,326 billion.

Agricultural production was closely directed, and plant and animal diseases were basically controlled. The rice planting area reached 583,322 hectares, harvested 338,372 hectares, with an average yield of 6.52 tons/hectare and an estimated output of 2.209 million tons, of which 77% was high-quality rice. Aquatic product output reached 93,616 tons, up 14.4% over the same period. However, the agricultural product consumption market faced difficulties, and prices of many items decreased compared to the previous month.

Concluding the meeting, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Van Ut said that although the operation of the two-level local government is basically stable, it still reveals many difficulties and problems, especially in the arrangement of personnel that does not meet current work requirements, the physical facilities of the commune-level government are still difficult and scattered in many places, the shared infrastructure of the units is not synchronous, and the regular expenditure norms for the commune level are still low.

He requested departments, branches and People's Committees of communes and wards to focus on removing obstacles and completing the key targets and tasks set out in the plan and at the meeting. In particular, it is necessary to strengthen professional training for commune-level officials related to administrative procedures and public services . Urgently review and update the shared database for units and localities to exploit, creating convenience in handling administrative procedures. Focus on reviewing difficulties and obstacles, proposing solutions for facilities and staff; decentralizing power in land and financial management in accordance with the capacity of officials; developing training plans for officials in the fields of information technology, digital transformation, land and resource management. Special attention should be paid to the issue of budget collection to ensure the set targets; difficulties in disbursing public investment capital should be removed, and capital should be regulated for projects and investors in disbursing capital./ .
