On August 28, the Exhibition of achievements in science, technology, innovation and digital transformation will take place.

The exhibition is chaired by the Ministry of Science and Technology (MOST), within the framework of the National Achievements Exhibition on the occasion of the 80th anniversary of National Day (September 2, 1945 - September 2, 2025).

The exhibition aims to recreate the 80-year journey of contributions of the Science and Technology sector, the Post and Telecommunications sector with three pillars: Science and Technology - Innovation - Digital transformation in the cause of independence, unification, construction, protection and development of the country; affirming the fundamental role, the key driving force of the sector in developing productive forces, enhancing endogenous capacity, national competitiveness and creating a sustainable future in the digital age.

Through a modern presentation format, combining data, images, artifacts and technology, the Exhibition affirms and honors the glorious history, spirit of service, continuous innovation and future aspirations of Vietnam's science and technology industry. This is also an opportunity to inspire the younger generation, arouse national pride, faith in Vietnamese intelligence, and promote the spirit of innovation throughout society.

*Perspective of the exhibition area of achievements in science and technology, innovation and digital transformation hosted by the Ministry of Science and Technology .*

The exhibition is organized according to the historical flow structure, recreating the 80-year development journey of the country through the lens of Science and Technology, Innovation and Digital Transformation with 01 central area and 05 content sub-areas, corresponding to 05 historical periods:

The central section is the area that introduces and creates an overall identity for the entire exhibition space. This is where the theme, guiding ideology and content structure of the entire exhibition are introduced, contributing to connecting the display sections in a continuous timeline, ensuring systematicity and effectiveness in guiding the visitor experience.

The 5 Timeline Zones are designed in an open space direction, integrating diverse displays including: Books, posters, models, artifacts and typical science and technology products, combined with projection equipment, search, and digital data. The introduction and display of posters and books are integrated in each zone according to the historical content.

Information about leaders of the Science and Technology, Information and Communications (Post, Telecommunications...) sectors through the periods and typical scientists will be designed to be visually integrated in the sub-areas and arranged with separate search points. Some sub-areas are integrated with devices to access the national database on Science and Technology (vista.gov.vn) to increase interaction and spread knowledge values.

Zone 1: The period of resistance and national construction (1945-1954): This zone recreates the role of science and technology, post and telecommunications in the resistance war for national independence, demonstrating the spirit of serving the Fatherland and creativity in the difficult conditions of resistance, aiming to evoke national pride, spread historical values to the younger generation, contributing to honoring the silent but essential contributions of the scientific and technical forces in national defense, agriculture, telecommunications and medicine in the struggle for independence.

This section will introduce a number of technical activities serving the resistance war such as initiatives in manufacturing tools, technical supplies, military medicine, and communications; the resistance postal system including military and civilian transmission stations; photo documents and artifacts about people working in engineering and communications in the early period of the revolution. In addition, the exhibition area also selects a number of historical books, copies of resistance documents and typical artifacts preserved from this period to help viewers better visualize the role of science and technology in the struggle for independence.

Zone 2: The period of Liberation of the South, National Reunification and Socialism Building in the North (1954-1975): This zone affirmed the role of the Science and Technology and Postal sector in the cause of building a socialist North, while effectively supporting the Southern battlefield. This period laid the foundation for the first modern science and technology system in Vietnam, with the establishment of many leading research institutes such as Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Military Engineering, etc. This zone contributed to connecting the historical flow of the sector with the context of the country during the period of struggle for unification, arousing pride and a sense of inheritance in the current national development.

The content displayed in this section will clearly show the results of applying science and technology in agricultural production, national defense, communications, military medicine; the State's oriented research programs; the organization system of the science and technology sector that was formed. In particular, the national postal communication system with microwave stations and wired telephone networks is recreated as an indispensable part of the technical infrastructure and communications of this period.

Section 3: Pre-Renovation Period (1975-1986): This section aims to recognize the efforts of the S&T, Post and Telecommunications sectors during the period when the country faced many economic difficulties, consequences of war and a complex international context. This was a period of maintaining essential applied research activities for production and life, while laying the foundation for reform and innovation of the S&T institution later on.

This period displays achievements in science and technology in the context of post-war recovery, building socialism nationwide, and the development of telecommunications and postal infrastructure such as mechanical switchboards, international mail, and universal postal service.

Zone 4: Innovation and Integration Period (1986-2025): This zone aims to emphasize the key and comprehensive role of science, technology, innovation and digital transformation in the process of national development in the period of innovation, industrialization, modernization and international integration. This period witnessed profound changes in the institutional policies of science and technology, information and communications (Post and Telecommunications), the formation of a national innovation and creative startup ecosystem and strong progress in building a digital government, digital economy and digital society. The zone contributes to conveying the message of national development based on the three pillars of science and technology, innovation and digital transformation, affirming Vietnam's position in proactively seizing the opportunities of global industrial and technological revolutions.

Products introduced and displayed include: Products from key national science and technology programs; typical applicable products that make outstanding contributions to socio-economic development and improving people's lives in the fields of natural sciences, social sciences, technology (supercomputers, 5G technology, national satellites, etc.), agriculture, medicine (vaccines); achievements that have made outstanding contributions to promoting the development of the innovation ecosystem, digital government, digital economy, digital society; Vietnamese technology unicorns; typical "Make in Vietnam" enterprises.

Zone 5: New Era (from 2025 onwards): This zone aims to convey the strategic vision for the development of science and technology, innovation and digital transformation in Vietnam in the period of 2025-2045. This is the period of implementing new policies and guidelines identified in Resolution No. 57-NQ/TW dated December 22, 2024 of the Politburo on the development of national science and technology, innovation and digital transformation, synchronously perfecting the institutional system, forming new fundamental capacities, enhancing national competitiveness and proactively adapting to global fluctuations. In addition, through the demonstration of highly interactive pioneering technologies, this zone inspires creativity and the spirit of creating the future, especially among young people, intellectuals and the business community.

This section focuses on visually introducing the vision and orientation for future national technology development, focusing on 11 strategic technology groups stated in Decision No. 1131/QD-TTg of the Prime Minister promulgating the List of strategic technologies and strategic technology products to implement Resolution No. 57-NQ/TW. The smart touch screen system allows looking up information on digital technology enterprises (Make in Vietnam).

The event is expected to give the public a comprehensive view of the journey of science and technology development, innovation and digital transformation, while at the same time arousing pride and aspiration to continue innovating in the digital age.

In parallel with the exhibition, the forum "Future of National Science, Technology, Innovation and Digital Transformation" will take place on the morning of August 29 at VEC.

Box: The number of exhibits on display at the Exhibition is divided into the following fields: Science and Technology (25 exhibits), Innovation (6 exhibits), Digital Transformation (15 exhibits) and Post and Telecommunications (29 exhibits). Typical examples include: In the fields of social sciences, humanities and natural sciences, many typical works have won the Ho Chi Minh Prize or have scientific and historical value such as: Ly Thuong Kiet (Hoang Xuan Han), Outline of Vietnamese Cultural History (Dao Duy Anh), Liver Surgery (Ton That Tung), Vietnamese Medicinal Plants and Medicinal Herbs (Do Tat Loi), Vietnamese Nature (Le Ba Thao). Regarding political theory, there are: Some theoretical and practical issues on socialism in Vietnam (Nguyen Phu Trong), Building the People's Public Security Force... (To Lam), along with books on digital transformation by the Information and Communication Publishing House.

In the fields of science and technology, many outstanding products have affirmed their creative marks and made important contributions to the country. In the field of national defense, improvements to Bazooka and SKZ guns by engineer Tran Dai Nghia, anti-aircraft guns 37, 57, SAM-2 missiles, radars BR12, TL01, VRS-M21X, VRS-SS4S and works that won the Ho Chi Minh Prize such as "Magnetic mine clearance..." or the optimization works of Professor Hoang Tuy demonstrate self-reliance. In the field of communications: Telegraphs, magnetic switchboards, Hoa Sen stations, radio equipment, telephones during the resistance war to C-UAS systems, 5G equipment, AI Camera, Smartbox 3 ATV, BTS Digital Twin, XGSPON ONT Wifi 7... demonstrate the modernization process of postal and telecommunications. In the field of artificial intelligence and automation: ELBOT robot, autonomous delivery robot, AI translation, MK-eID chip, SOC for IoT, AI View S500 camera, Dat Bike electric vehicle, smart home solution, STEM equipment, 3D model of Kinh Thien palace, nuclear reactor model, 500 kV transformer, anti-drone radar, VINASAT-1 satellite, AR/VR and AI hologram program host... showing the potential and vision of national digital transformation. These are products that contribute to the development of the country in a modern, creative and sustainable direction.
