According to information from the authorities, while performing the task of responding to and overcoming the consequences of floods in Dien Khanh commune, the working group discovered in the Cau Lung area a 40-seat passenger van with license plate 76B-00952 belonging to Chin Nghia Transport Company Limited was having a serious problem. The vehicle was traveling on National Highway 1 in the direction of Ho Chi Minh City - Quang Ngai when it suddenly lost control due to rising and rushing floodwaters. The entire road surface at Cau Lung section was deeply flooded, and the vehicle was at risk of being swept away at any time.

There were 30 passengers and a crew of 3 (driver, assistant and attendant) on the bus at the time. Realizing the extremely dangerous situation, the Fire and Rescue Team of Region 4 quickly approached the scene, used inflatable boats, lifelines, and specialized equipment to rescue and quickly brought all 33 people on the bus safely through the flooded area. All passengers and crew were taken to a temporary assembly area, received initial medical care and assistance in arranging vehicles to continue the journey.
The brave and timely actions of the Fire Fighting and Rescue Team of Region 4 to protect people's lives during the flood were highly appreciated by the leaders of Khanh Hoa Provincial Police and local authorities.
