26th Session - Provincial People's Council, term XI: Election of Head of Economic Committee

BTO - On the morning of October 18, at the 26th session (special session), the 11th term People's Council of Binh Thuan province carried out personnel work under its authority.

Accordingly, the Provincial People's Council has submitted a proposal to introduce Ms. Le Nghiem Vi - Deputy Head of the Provincial People's Council's Culture and Social Committee to the Provincial People's Council delegates to elect to hold the position of Head of the Provincial People's Council's Economic - Budget Committee for the 2021-2026 term. Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Doan Anh Dung has introduced Mr. Do Van Chung - Director of the Department of Home Affairs for the Provincial People's Council to consider electing a member of the Provincial People's Committee for the 2021-2026 term.

Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Doan Anh Dung introduced candidates for election to the Provincial People's Committee.

As a result, by secret ballot, 35/37 delegates of the Provincial People's Council attending the meeting unanimously elected Ms. Le Nghiem Vi to hold the position of Head of the Economic - Budget Committee of the Provincial People's Council and 37/37 delegates elected Mr. Do Van Chung - Director of the Department of Home Affairs to hold the position of Member of the Provincial People's Committee for the 2021 - 2026 term.

Leaders of the Provincial Party Committee, People's Council and People's Committee presented flowers of congratulations.

Previously, the Provincial People's Council held a secret ballot, 100% of the delegates attending unanimously agreed to dismiss Mr. Do Van Chung from the position of Head of the Economic - Budget Committee of the 11th Provincial People's Council, on the grounds that he was assigned by the competent authority to work at the Department of Home Affairs and appointed to the position of Director of the Department of Home Affairs, starting from September 26, 2024. At the same time, the Provincial People's Council unanimously dismissed Ms. Le Nghiem Vi from the position of Deputy Head of the Cultural - Social Committee of the Provincial People's Council.

Chairman of the Provincial People's Council Nguyen Hoai Anh presented flowers to Mr. Do Thai Duong.

The Provincial People's Council also agreed to dismiss Mr. Do Thai Duong - former Director of the Department of Home Affairs from the position of Member of the Provincial People's Committee for the 2021-2026 term on the grounds that he was assigned by the competent authority to work at the Provincial Party Committee's Mass Mobilization Commission; and appointed him to the position of Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Mass Mobilization Commission, effective from August 24, 2024.
