A Guinness World Record was just set during a concert.

American rapper Jeezy has just set a Guinness World Record after performing with an orchestra of 101 people in Las Vegas.

This fusion of hip-hop and orchestral music, which earned him a Guinness World Record, is considered one of the most memorable moments of his career.

On the evening of November 1st (US time), at Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino, Jeezy held a special TM:101 Live concert to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the release of his album Let's Get It: Thug Motivation 101 , considered a classic of Southern American hip-hop.

In the program, he appeared with the 101-member symphony orchestra The Color of Noize Orchestra , with composer Derrick Hodge in charge of arrangement and Adam Blackstone conducting.

The event quickly became the center of attention when representatives from Guinness World Records arrived to present the certificate for "The world's largest hip-hop concert with a large orchestra".

Video Jeezy shared on social media from the concert.

This was also the largest orchestra ever to perform on a Las Vegas stage, marking a new turning point for hip-hop, a genre once associated with the streets that had now moved onto the orchestral stage.

On social media, Jeezy shared a photo of himself receiving the record along with the message: "My goal has always been to inspire and motivate my culture. Thank you to everyone who believed in me. I wouldn't have been able to do this without you."

The show also held special significance as it showcased Jeezy's efforts to push the boundaries of hip-hop, combining it with classical orchestral elements to create a fresh musical experience.

According to People magazine, it was this boldness that nearly caused the audience at Planet Hollywood to erupt in cheers as the rap blended with the emotional sounds of trumpets and strings.

Two decades after the release of his debut album, the veteran hip-hop artist still maintains a strong appeal.

He is considered by experts to have contributed to expanding the boundaries of hip-hop, transforming it into a multi-dimensional artistic space where rap can coexist with symphony orchestras, lighting, and spectacular stage performances.

The TM:101 Live event kicked off a series of activities celebrating the 20th anniversary of the album Let's Get It: Thug Motivation 101 , which is expected to last until the end of 2025.

With the Guinness World Record just set, the Las Vegas show is not only a milestone in Jeezy's career but also a new step forward for hip-hop music.
