Departing from Suzhou on the night of November 10, A2 arrived at the Shanghai Bund in the early morning of November 13. Thanks to the quick-swap battery system developed by Agibot, the robot operated continuously throughout the approximately 106 km journey.
Upon reaching its destination, the robot shared that this was "an unforgettable experience in its life as a machine", and humorously commented that it "might need new shoes".

"Walking from Suzhou to Shanghai is a difficult task for many people, but the robot did it. This proves the perfection of the robot's hardware, cerebellar balance algorithm and durability, and lays a solid foundation for large-scale commercial deployment," said Mr. Wang Chuang, Senior Vice President of Agibot.
According to Mr. Wang, the A2 participating in the challenge is a conventional commercial robot, mass-produced and without any special adjustments. The robot is 175 cm tall, weighs 55 kg, and is capable of processing text, audio and image information thanks to the integration of artificial intelligence.
A2 is equipped with dual GPS modules, LiDAR and infrared depth sensors, allowing it to move flexibly in complex situations such as traffic lights, narrow paths or crowded sidewalks, while maintaining stable perception day and night. On terrains such as asphalt roads, paved paths, bridges, sidewalks and slopes, the robot strictly complies with traffic laws.
Previously, a Chinese humanoid robot also attracted international media attention when it first participated in a half-marathon in April. Tien Kung Ultra, a robot developed by the Beijing Humanoid Robot Innovation Center, won the race by completing the 21 km race in just 2 hours and 40 minutes.
