Sharing at the meeting, Mr. Trieu Tang Lien emphasized the long-standing, friendly and good cooperative relationship between Vietnam and China over many years. "This year marks the 75th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries and there are many important events and commemorative activities taking place," Deputy Director General Trieu Tang Lien emphasized, affirming that the visit of Minister Tran Duc Thang and the working delegation of the Ministry of Agriculture and Environment to work with Chinese partners this time shows the effective cooperation between the two countries, including cooperation between the Ministry and GACC.

"I believe that after this working trip of the Minister, the cooperative relationship between the two sides will develop further, especially the two-way economic, social and trade relations," the Deputy Director General emphasized.

Mr. Trieu Tang Lien also affirmed that China always attaches importance to trade with Vietnam and is ready to open its doors to quality agricultural products from Vietnam. With the functions related to quarantine and market opening, GACC will strive to realize the common goals that the leaders of the two Parties and the two States have achieved in the past time.

"This year, we have signed four protocols on the export of chili, passion fruit, rice bran and raw bird's nest. Today (November 27), we will sign a protocol on the export of fresh jackfruit from Vietnam to China. On the Vietnamese side, Minister Tran Duc Thang expressed his joy at working with GACC and affirmed that the cooperation between the two sides has been strengthened in recent times. According to the Minister, the leaders of the Party and State of Vietnam are always interested in consolidating and promoting cooperation with China in all fields, especially agricultural and environmental cooperation.

With the figures on two-way trade turnover in recent times, China is a very important import-export market for Vietnam. Specifically, the statistics on import-export turnover in the first 10 months of 2025 between the two countries are higher than the total for the whole year of 2024.

Minister Tran Duc Thang said that cooperation with China in industry-related fields needs to be given more attention and promoted in the coming time.

In addition to import-export cooperation, Minister Tran Duc Thang also mentioned investment promotion activities, especially since the two countries have border advantages, which is very favorable for trade and investment.

“Therefore, I really hope that the Ministry and GACC will continue to exchange and promote this relationship,” the Minister shared, and at the same time thanked GACC for its coordination and creation of conditions for the signing of the Protocol on fresh jackfruit export today.

Also within the framework of the working session, Minister Tran Duc Thang and Mr. Trieu Tang Lien discussed some more professional contents related to the import and export of agricultural, forestry and fishery products between the two countries.

Two-way agricultural trade between Vietnam and China in 2025 has many bright spots. By the end of October 2025, China had imported 8.7 billion USD worth of agricultural products from Vietnam. The above results show the close cooperation between the two sides, as well as the support and connection of the Vietnamese Embassy in China.
