Celebrating the 737th Anniversary of Bach Dang Giang Victory Day

On the morning of April 5 (March 8 of the lunar calendar), the Management Board of the Tran Hung Dao Temple Historical and Cultural Relic (Nha Trang City) held a ceremony to celebrate the 737th anniversary of the 3rd Bach Dang Giang Victory against the Yuan-Mongol invaders (1288 - 2025). Attending the ceremony were Mr. Nguyen Van Thien - Permanent Vice Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the province; leaders of Nha Trang City, the Naval Academy, along with many people and representatives of the Tran family in Khanh Hoa.

Mr. Nguyen Van Thien offered incense in memory of Hung Dao Dai Vuong Tran Quoc Tuan.

The celebration took place with rituals such as: opening prayers for national peace and prosperity; traditional sacrifices; offering incense and flowers at the monument of General Tran Quoc Tuan in Bach Dang Park.

On this occasion, the delegates offered incense to commemorate King Hung Dao Tran Quoc Tuan; and reviewed the historical significance of the Bach Dang Giang battle under the talented command of national hero Tran Hung Dao. The third Bach Dang Giang victory eliminated more than 40,000 soldiers from the battle, captured 400 warships, and crushed the invasion plot of the Yuan-Mongol army.

Hung Dao Dai Vuong Tran Quoc Tuan was born in 1228, is an outstanding hero of the Vietnamese people. He is the one who made great contributions in commanding the army and people of Dai Viet to defeat the brutal Yuan-Mongol invaders in the 13th century.

People came to offer incense to commemorate the merits of Hung Dao Dai Vuong Tran Quoc Tuan.

The historical and cultural relic of Tran Hung Dao Temple (No. 124 Nguyen Trai, Nha Trang City) was built in 1962, at the initiative of the North Vietnam Friendship Association. At that time, this was the only temple in the Central region to worship Hung Dao Dai Vuong Tran Quoc Tuan. Today, the people of Nha Trang - Khanh Hoa still preserve and restore the relic so that generations can worship and remember the outstanding hero of the nation.
