Eighty-five years ago, on September 27, 1940, under the leadership of the Party, the people of Bac Son rose up en masse, taking up arms to drive out the French colonialists and Japanese fascists, marking the beginning of the armed struggle for national liberation in Indochina.
The Bac Son Uprising was not only a local historical event but also held profound significance for the Vietnamese nation. It was the opening shot in the armed struggle under the leadership of the Party, proving that our people were capable of fighting for independence. At the same time, it affirmed the Party's correct revolutionary line, combining political and armed struggle, and bridging the gap between the working class, peasants, and ethnic minorities. The Bac Son Uprising ignited the fighting spirit of the entire nation, becoming a guiding light for subsequent uprisings.
Following the victory of the Bac Son uprising, the Bac Son guerrilla unit was established and became one of the first revolutionary armed forces of our Party. The birth of the Bac Son guerrilla unit and the establishment of the Bac Son - Vo Nhai base truly became the core for promoting the revolutionary movement throughout the country.
Building on the heroic revolutionary tradition, over the past 85 years, the Party Committee and people of all ethnic groups in Bac Son have united, overcome difficulties, and achieved many important accomplishments in various fields.
In accordance with the policy of reorganizing administrative units at all levels and building a two-tiered local government model, the administrative unit of Bac Son district officially ended on July 1st. Simultaneously, six new commune-level administrative units were established: Bac Son, Tan Tri, Vu Le, Nhat Hoa, Vu Lang, and Hung Vu. Since then, the Party committees of these six communes have been diligently consolidating their political systems and ensuring the stable and smooth operation of the new commune governments.
At the program, Mr. Hoang Van Nghiem, Secretary of the Lang Son Provincial Party Committee, congratulated and praised the achievements that the Party Committee, government, and people of the six communes in the Bac Son region have made in the past.
The Provincial Party Secretary requested that the communes continue to strengthen Party building, build a clean and strong political system, build a team of exemplary cadres and Party members to meet the requirements of the tasks, implement the streamlining of the organizational structure, operate effectively and efficiently, be closer to the people, and serve the people better.
Emphasis should be placed on disseminating information and educating cadres, Party members, and all segments of the population about the revolutionary traditions of the homeland, the spirit of patriotism, self-reliance, and unwavering commitment to the Party's goals and ideals. The potential and advantages of economic development should be effectively exploited, trade and services should be strongly developed, entrepreneurship should be promoted, jobs should be created, and people's living standards should be improved.
Promote the development of ecotourism, linking the exploitation of natural potential with the preservation of national cultural identity and the protection of the ecological environment, focusing on the development of science and technology, innovation, and digital transformation. Continue to mobilize resources to develop the health sector, fully and promptly implement social security policies, develop cultural and sports sectors in a comprehensive manner, and improve the quality of cultural and spiritual life of the people.
