- Amidst the urgent atmosphere of the 2025 High School Graduation Exam, at the exam site of Y La High School (Tuyen Quang City), there is a story about determination and aspiration to study that is spreading and inspiring many people. That is the story of Dang Hong Nhung, a Dao ethnic girl from Thai Son commune (Ham Yen), an independent candidate with a special journey with the dream of going to university.

I am Dang Hong Nhung.

Dang Hong Nhung is the eldest sister in a farming family in An Thach village, Thai Son commune (Ham Yen). With three sisters, she was soon aware of the burden of earning a living on her parents' shoulders. In 2020, after completing high school, although she really wanted to continue her education, due to difficult family circumstances, Nhung had to temporarily put her dream on hold.

Determined to share the burden with her family, Nhung made a bold decision to go to Japan to work. Ms. Dang Thi Xiem, Nhung's mother, could not help but feel sad when talking about her daughter: "Nhung is the eldest daughter, since she was a child she has been very obedient and studious, especially always knowing how to give in and take care of her younger siblings. Seeing her determination to go abroad, the family was also worried that she would have a hard time, but she was determined so we supported her."

After more than three years of hard work in the food processing industry in a foreign land, Nhung not only saved up some capital but also helped her family overcome difficult times. When her younger sister finished school and had a stable job, the fire to go to university in Nhung burned stronger than ever. The dream of studying and discovering knowledge never died in the mind of this determined Dao girl.

This year, at the 2025 High School Graduation Exam, to encourage her daughter to do well in the exam, Ms. Dang Thi Xiem took the time to take her daughter to the exam. The story of the mother and daughter from an ethnic minority has spread the spirit of studiousness as well as the determination to pursue dreams to the end, further affirming that learning never stops.

This year, Dang Hong Nhung confidently registered to take the entrance exam to the University of Economics, Technology and Industry, majoring in Hotel Management. Taking this exam has affirmed her spirit of constantly striving, and at the same time, Nhung's story is a strong source of inspiration, reminding many people of the value of perseverance, the power of dreams and the will to overcome all difficulties in life.
