On May 20, 2023, Dong Thuy Company Limited - the owner of the Lado Taxi brand, signed a contract to purchase 300 more VF 5 Plus electric cars with VinFast Trading and Service Company Limited, bringing the total number of VinFast electric cars in the company's taxi fleet to nearly 1,000 by the end of this year. According to the green conversion plan by 2025, 95% of Lado taxis will be electric cars.
As one of the first passenger transport businesses to put VinFast electric cars into operation and achieve positive business results, Lado Taxi has decided to invest heavily in green transformation and expand its electric taxi service to a larger scale. Specifically, Lado Taxi has signed a contract to purchase 300 more VF 5 Plus electric cars from VinFast to supplement and replace the existing fleet of gasoline cars.

Previously, since May 2022, Lado Taxi has purchased a total of 150 VinFast VF e34 cars to provide electric taxi services in Lam Dong and Binh Dinh. At the end of March 2023, Lado Taxi also signed a contract to lease 300 VF e34 cars and 200 VF 5 Plus cars from GSM company. With the purchase of an additional 300 VF 5 Plus cars from VinFast, by the end of this year, Lado Taxi's fleet will have nearly 1,000 VinFast electric cars. According to the plan, by 2025, Lado Taxi will convert 95% of its vehicles on the market to electric vehicles, thereby contributing to strongly promoting the green transport revolution in Vietnam.
Currently, Lado Taxi is providing services in 6 southern provinces including Lam Dong, Binh Dinh, Phu Yen, Binh Thuan, Dong Nai, Ba Ria - Vung Tau . According to the green conversion plan for the entire system, Lado Taxi will stop buying new gasoline vehicles from this year, only adding new electric vehicles and moving towards replacing all gasoline vehicles with electric vehicles in the future. The driving force for this strong green conversion strategy is the economic efficiency and superior advantages of electric vehicles compared to gasoline vehicles that have been proven in actual operation over the past time.
Speaking at the signing ceremony of the contract to purchase 300 VinFast VF 5 Plus electric cars, Mr. Nguyen Ngoc Dong - General Director of Dong Thuy Company Limited said: “Electric taxis are a common trend in the world and are also in the policy of the Government. Lado Taxi has been using electric cars for a year now and has recorded outstanding efficiency in business as well as customer experience. Electric cars help reduce maintenance costs significantly compared to gasoline cars, while helping to optimize operating personnel, with only 1 administrator technician being able to manage and operate 100 electric cars, while the same number of gasoline cars requires 2-3 people. Becoming the first taxi company in Vietnam to cooperate in green transformation with VinFast also helps Lado attract a lot of attention from customers, helping to increase the number of car bookings and customer satisfaction thanks to the advantages of electric cars such as smooth operation, no smell, no noise, especially no emissions.”

Currently, VinFast has planned a system of 150,000 charging ports for cars and electric motorbikes in 63 provinces and cities, while providing superior after-sales services such as genuine warranty of up to 10 years, a system of service workshops with no days off nationwide, mobile repair (Mobile Service), mobile battery charging (Mobile Charging), and 24/7 rescue during the warranty period.
