Lai Chau: 9-month science and technology work meeting, deploying key tasks for the last 3 months of 2025

In the first 9 months of 2025, the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Commission issued Instruction No. 206-HD/BTGTU, dated December 12, 2024, on guidelines for science and education work in 2025; proactively advised the Provincial Party Committee to organize the dissemination and study of new policies and resolutions of the Central Committee; strengthen propaganda and strongly implement the 4 "four-pillar" Resolutions and specialized Resolutions contributing to the development of the country in the new era; focus on propagating and coordinating the implementation of the tasks of the Steering Committee for the implementation of Resolution No. 57-NQ/TW on breakthroughs in science and technology development, innovation and national digital transformation and the "Digital Education for All" movement.

Representatives of the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Department presented a report at the Conference.

Regarding science and education work in localities, after the two-level government model came into operation, communes and wards focused on perfecting the Steering Committees, issuing plans to implement policies and resolutions of the Central and Provincial Party Committees in the field of science and education, promptly organizing implementation in accordance with local realities.

The fields of science and technology; natural resources and environment are focused. The fields of education and training, vocational education, labor management and employment are promoted; organizing summer political training for 9,533 managers and teachers of the Education and Training sector in the whole province; continuing to organize professional training in education in 2025; directing the implementation of tasks for the 2025-2026 school year according to plan; implementing the Cooperation Agreement program to send local workers to work seasonally in Mungyeong city, Gyeongsangbuk province, South Korea in 2025.

Health, population, children; insurance and social security issues have been strengthened. In the first 9 months of 2025, 953,924 patients were examined. Up to now, the number of working-age people participating in social insurance is 36,313 people, reaching 95.33%. The work of implementing housing for people with meritorious services; eliminating temporary and dilapidated houses; housing according to target programs in the province has been implemented at 7,161/7,161 units, reaching 100% of the plan.

Regarding family and physical education and sports, the whole province has 152,468 people who regularly practice sports, accounting for 30.41% of the population; there are 19,601 sports families, accounting for 18.40% of the total number of families in the province; 438 clubs and sports training points. High-performance sports have many improvements. The province has participated in 28 regional, national and international sports competitions, winning 88 medals of all kinds.

In the last months of 2025, with the motto "Solidarity - Democracy - Discipline - Creativity - Development", the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Commission and the branches in the science and education sector will continue to implement the direction and orientation of the Central Government, the Province, the Propaganda Work Program and the Science and Education Work Guidelines in 2025; focus on reviewing and seriously implementing the tasks and solutions identified by the province; strengthen coordination in implementing science and education tasks...

Concluding the Conference, comrade Le Duc Duc - Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Commission commended and acknowledged the results achieved by departments and branches in the first 9 months of 2025.
