Lai Chau: Training on counter-terrorism prevention and control in 2025

(laichau.gov.vn) In order to continue to thoroughly grasp and seriously and effectively implement the Law on Anti-Terrorism, this morning (September 6), Lai Chau Provincial People's Committee organized a training conference on anti-terrorism work in 2025. Comrade Tong Thanh Hai - Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Permanent Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee attended and delivered the opening speech at the Conference.

Attending the conference on behalf of the Ministry of Public Security were Major General Nguyen Huu Hung - Deputy Director of the Department of Internal Security (Ministry of Public Security); representatives of the provincial police; leaders of the Counter-Terrorism Department, Department of Internal Security (Ministry of Public Security).

On the side of Lai Chau province, there were comrades who were members of the Provincial Steering Committee for Anti-Terrorism; representatives of the Provincial Military Command and its subordinate staff offices; 210 delegates who were leaders and officers in charge of anti-terrorism work of provincial departments, branches and sectors; representatives of the People's Committees of communes, wards, departments, team commanders of professional units of the Provincial Police, commune-level police, etc.

Speaking at the opening ceremony of the Conference, Comrade Tong Thanh Hai - Member of the Provincial Party Committee Standing Committee, Permanent Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee emphasized that in Lai Chau province, the political security situation and social order and safety are basically maintained. At the Conference, comrades from the Department of Internal Security, Ministry of Public Security will convey useful information on counter-terrorism work, helping delegates have more theoretical and practical bases to improve the effectiveness of staff work and organization of task implementation at the grassroots level.

The Standing Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee believes that after the Conference, the awareness, responsibility and capacity to respond to terrorist and sabotage situations of cadres, soldiers, civil servants and public employees at all levels in the province will be significantly improved; contributing to ensuring absolute safety for key targets and major political events of the country and the province, especially the Party Congresses at all levels and the upcoming election of the 15th National Assembly and People's Councils at all levels for the 2026-2031 term...
