Early on July 2 (local time), a shooting took place at a street party in Baltimore, Maryland (USA). The incident left at least 2 people dead and 28 others injured. Of the injured, 9 were taken to the hospital and 3 are in critical condition.

According to Baltimore police, the force received a series of calls at 12:30 local time (11:30 Vietnam time) on July 2 from the 800 block of Gretna Avenue, South Baltimore. Upon arriving at the scene, police discovered a woman's body and nine others with gunshot wounds.

There is no information about a suspect or motive for the attack. Investigators are “working to establish a crime scene,” said Baltimore Police Acting Commissioner Richard Worley.

For his part, Baltimore Mayor Brandon Scott condemned the shooting as “a reckless, cowardly act that took two lives and forever changed the lives of many others.”

“This event has highlighted the impact and need to address the growing number of illegal weapons on the streets, including in the hands of people who should not have them,” he said.

The official also confirmed that all available resources are being mobilized to support the investigation. The Baltimore mayor emphasized: “We will not stop until we find them. We will find them.”
