(Dan Tri) - Students and trainees who win prizes in national sports, physical education , cultural and artistic competitions will be rewarded by Ho Chi Minh City.
The People's Council of Ho Chi Minh City has just passed Resolution 35 amending and supplementing a number of articles of Resolution 02/2021/ND-HDND dated March 23, 2021 of the People's Council of the city stipulating a number of policies to encourage teachers, students, and trainees who win prizes in national, regional, and international competitions and teachers who have achievements in training and fostering students and trainees who win prizes in Ho Chi Minh City.
Notably, the Resolution adds the policy beneficiaries to students and trainees who win prizes in national sports, physical education, cultural and artistic competitions.

The gold medal (first prize) is 7.5 million VND, the silver medal (second prize) is 5 million VND, the bronze medal (third prize) is 3.5 million VND and the encouragement prize (fourth prize) is 2 million VND.
This is the first time Ho Chi Minh City has regulated the reward level for students who win prizes in national competitions and competitions in sports, culture and arts.
Resolution 35 continues to maintain the reward level of up to 200 million VND for students who win gold medals in international Olympic competitions in subjects, international science and technology research competitions and equivalent.
The prize for students winning silver medals is 160 million VND, bronze medals are 120 million VND, and consolation prizes are 50 million VND.
Students who win prizes in regional Olympic competitions in subjects, regional scientific and technical research competitions and equivalents will receive a gold medal of 120 million VND; a silver medal of 90 million VND; a bronze medal of 75 million VND; and an encouragement prize of 30 million VND.
Students who win prizes in excellent student competitions, science and technology research competitions and national student and student startup idea competitions will receive a gold medal of 50 million VND, a silver medal of 40 million VND, a bronze medal of 30 million VND and an encouragement prize of 20 million VND.
Students who win gold medals in excellent student competitions, science and technology research competitions, and student competitions with city-level startup ideas will receive 5 million VND at primary school level, 10 million VND at secondary school level, and 12 million VND at high school level.
