
According to a VNA reporter in Buenos Aires, the ceremony was attended by Mr. Santiago Paulini, Chairman of the Argentina-Vietnam Parliamentary Friendship Group; Senator Maximiliano Abad, Chairman of the Senatorial Group with the Asian region; along with representatives of the Government, National Assembly, political parties, diplomatic corps and many Argentine friends who love Vietnam.
Speaking at the event, Vietnamese Ambassador to Argentina Ngo Minh Nguyet emphasized the great historical significance of September 2, 1945, when President Ho Chi Minh read the Declaration of Independence, giving birth to the Democratic Republic of Vietnam - the first people's democratic state in Southeast Asia, opening an era of independence, freedom and development for the Vietnamese people.
The Ambassador affirmed that since that historic moment, the Vietnamese people have steadfastly built a people's government, protected the Fatherland and firmly walked on the path of socialism, towards the goal of "A rich people, a strong country, democracy, fairness and civilization".
Over the past 80 years, Vietnam has risen strongly from a poor, war-torn country to become a dynamic economy , with diplomatic relations with 193 countries, strategic and comprehensive partnerships with 38 countries, and a member of more than 70 international organizations. Vietnam is currently among the 32 largest economies and 20 countries with the highest trade turnover in the world.

Ambassador Ngo Minh Nguyet emphasized Vietnam's commitment to implementing the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), aiming to become a modern, upper-middle-income developing country by 2030 and a developed, high-income country by 2045. The Ambassador also expressed deep gratitude to international friends and the people of Argentina for always accompanying and supporting Vietnam in its 80-year journey of building and developing the country.
Within the framework of the event, the Vietnamese Food Festival brought guests exquisite experiences through traditional dishes such as beef pho, fried spring rolls, fried rice, longan sweet soup and Vietnamese coffee, receiving enthusiastic love from international friends.
Along with the unique flavors of Vietnamese cuisine, the photo exhibition space about the country, people and culture of Vietnam has contributed to helping Argentine friends better understand a Vietnam rich in identity, dynamic and friendly - a country that is confidently integrating and reaching out to the world with a spirit of peace and cooperation.
