On September 18, Foreign Trade University held the opening ceremony of the 2024-2025 school year, commending the top students in the 2024 entrance exam and outstanding students of the 2023-2024 school year.
At the opening ceremony, after the flag-raising ceremony and singing the national anthem, staff, lecturers and students took a minute to remember the soldiers and people who died due to the impact of storm No. 3.
In particular, to share with the people and localities that have suffered severe consequences of natural disasters, this year's opening ceremony the school did not accept congratulatory flowers from individuals, organizations, businesses, and partners.
Instead, the school hopes to receive contributions and support for the relief fund to overcome the consequences of natural disasters and floods.
Therefore, on the stage of the opening ceremony of the 2024 - 2025 school year of Foreign Trade University, there was only a special "flower basket" printed with the QR code of the account of the Central Relief Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front to receive congratulations.

Speaking at the opening ceremony, Associate Professor Dr. Bui Anh Tuan, President of Foreign Trade University, called on all teachers, school officials, students, and postgraduates to participate in volunteer activities, support people affected by natural disasters, and build solidarity in the community.
To new students, Mr. Tuan advised that entering university is not only an important milestone in their learning journey but also an opportunity for them to shape themselves, explore the world and determine their future path.
This is the stage where children not only acquire knowledge from books, but also learn from real-life experiences, from the people around them and from themselves.
"Don't be afraid of failure, because it is failures that will lead you to greater success. Your student years are an opportunity to understand yourself better and clearly define your goals.
On your university journey, there will be times when you feel difficult, tired and uncertain about yourself. Keep faith in your abilities and stick to your goals. Confidence and patience are the keys to overcoming all challenges and achieving your goals," said Mr. Tuan.
