Deputy Minister of Finance Ho Sy Hung was transferred and appointed as Secretary of the VCCI Party Committee.

Mr. Ho Sy Hung, Deputy Minister of Finance, has just been assigned by the Standing Committee of the Party Committee of the Fatherland Front and Central organizations to be Secretary of the VCCI Party Committee for the 2025-2030 term.

On the afternoon of October 16th, the Party Committee of the Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry (VCCI) held a conference to announce the decision of the Standing Committee of the Party Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front and central mass organizations regarding personnel matters.

Accordingly, Mr. Ho Sy Hung, Member of the Standing Committee of the Party Committee and Deputy Minister of Finance , has been transferred and appointed as Secretary of the Party Committee of VCCI for the term 2025-2030.

Established in 1963, VCCI is a national organization that brings together and represents the business community, entrepreneurs, employers, and business associations in Vietnam.

The VCCI Party Committee was established in February 2025 as a grassroots party committee with 24 party organizations and 379 party members.

Speaking at the conference, Mr. Nguyen Phi Long, Alternate Member of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front and Central Mass Organizations, emphasized that the selection of the leader of the Vietnam Confederation of Commerce and Industry was carefully considered from many aspects by the Central Secretariat of the Communist Party of Vietnam.

Accordingly, the Secretariat of the Central Committee appointed Mr. Ho Sy Hung to the Executive Committee, the Standing Committee, and the position of Secretary of the Party Committee of VCCI for the term 2025-2030, and also nominated him to be elected as President of VCCI for the term 2021-2026.

Mr. Ho Sy Hung, born in 1968, holds the academic title of Associate Professor in Economics and has previously held positions such as Director of the Enterprise Development Department, Vice Chairman of the State Capital Management Committee at Enterprises, and Deputy Minister of Finance.

In his acceptance speech, Mr. Ho Sy Hung shared that this is a great honor, but also a heavy responsibility before the Party, State, and Fatherland Front leaders, before the VCCI Party Committee and the business community and entrepreneurs nationwide.

Mr. Ho Sy Hung affirmed that he will continuously learn, innovate his thinking, and work with integrity, responsibility, approachability, and attentiveness. He also pledged to dedicate himself wholeheartedly to the development of the business community and VCCI in his new term.
