Nghe An provincial leaders visit officers injured in forest fire

On the morning of August 24, Mr. Nguyen Van De - Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee visited and encouraged two forest protection officers who were injured in the forest fire that just occurred in Nghi Tien commune - Nghi Loc.

The fire broke out in a pine forest area in hamlet 14, Nghi Tien commune, Nghi Loc district.

The forest fire broke out at 9am yesterday (August 23) in a 5-year-old pine forest in Nghi Tien commune, Nghi Loc district. Upon receiving the news, the forest management unit and functional forces, along with hundreds of people, entered the forest to put out the fire.

Hot weather and strong winds made it difficult to contain and extinguish the pine forest fire.

During the fire fighting process, due to the complex and dangerous terrain, when the wind changed direction, two forest protection management officers of Nghi Loc district, Mr. Trinh Van Ha and Hoang Van Sum, were caught in the fire and suffered burns. Currently, these two officers are being treated at Nghe An General Hospital. Of these, Mr. Trinh Van Ha suffered third-degree burns.

Visiting and encouraging two forest protection officers who are undergoing treatment, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Van De wished them a speedy recovery. He hoped that the medical team would focus on caring for and treating the two officers.
