North Korean leader Kim Jong Un arrives in China by armored train

North Korea's Rodong Sinmun newspaper reported that the train carrying leader Kim Jong Un crossed the North Korea-China border early on the morning of September 2.

According to Al Jazeera, the Rodong Sinmun newspaper reported that the train carrying North Korean leader Kim Jong Un arrived in China early on the morning of September 2.

“Key senior officials of the Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea and the government of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea are accompanying Chairman Kim Jong Un on his visit to the People's Republic of China,” the newspaper reported.

The announcement said that North Korean Foreign Minister Choe Son Hui was in the delegation accompanying Mr. Kim Jong Un.

Leader Kim Jong Un is expected to attend the 80th anniversary of the victory over Japanese fascism in World War II held at Tiananmen Square in Beijing, China, on September 3.

The armored train used this time is believed to be similar to the vehicle that Kim Jong Un used during his previous visits to China and Russia, the Korea Herald reported.
