SAIC's long-range sedan Roewe M7 DMH has been announced in three versions in its home market of China, with prices ranging from 97,800 to 114,800 yuan (VND360.2 to VND422.8 million). This is SAIC's first production model designed by Josef Kabaň, former design director of Rolls-Royce, with a CLTC range of 2,050km and an all-electric range of 160km.
Positioned as a mid-size to large sedan, the Roewe M7 DMH has body dimensions of 4940/1890/1510mm (length/width/height) and a wheelbase of 2820mm. The vehicle's curb weight is 1,670kg and its minimum turning radius is 5.8m. Notable design details include a large front grille, accented by a waterfall chrome trim and split headlamps on either side. The “ROEWE” logo on the front grille also glows in the dark. The car is available in two tire sizes, 225/50 R17 and 225/50 R18, combined with multi-spoke wheels. The interior is symmetrically designed with a D-shaped steering wheel, a 10.25-inch dashboard and a 15.6-inch 2.5K resolution central control screen, powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8155 chip. The built-in AI voice assistant is powered by ByteDance's Doubao AI model.
The rear seats have soft side cushions, all seats and the steering wheel are equipped with heating function. The standard trunk volume is 527L and there are 28 storage spaces inside. The powertrain uses SAIC's fifth-generation DMH hybrid technology, consisting of a 1.5-liter engine, front electric motor, 19.7kWh lithium iron phosphate battery and combined with a DHT converter. The new Roewe M7 PHEV 2026 can run purely on electricity with a range of 160km (CLTC) and a comprehensive range of up to 2,050km. The standard fuel tank capacity is 55 liters. The 1.5L engine delivers a maximum output of 82kW (110hp), a maximum torque of 135Nm and a maximum thermal efficiency of 43%. The electric motor delivers a maximum output of 137kW (184hp) and a maximum torque of 330Nm.
The car's maximum speed is 185km/h, total fuel consumption CLTC is 2.91 liters/100km and acceleration time from 0-100 km/h is 7.9 seconds. Since many MG models in the past have been rebadged Roewe, it is likely that the Roewe M7 PHEV will be sold internationally as MG's flagship sedan. Currently, the highest sedan sold under the MG brand is the D-segment MG7.
