According to the Department of Industry and Trade, the proportion of Vietnamese goods sold in supermarkets and convenience stores in the province reaches more than 90%; in traditional retail channels such as markets and grocery stores, the proportion of Vietnamese goods accounts for more than 60%. According to statistics, the total retail sales of goods and service revenue in August 2025 is estimated to reach nearly 11.8 trillion VND, an increase of 19.63% over the same period last year. In the first 8 months of 2025, the total retail sales of goods and service revenue is estimated to reach more than 96.4 trillion VND, an increase of 20.28% over the first 8 months of 2024.

The above results were achieved thanks to the persistence of the authorities and enterprises in the province in promoting and stimulating domestic consumption over the past time. The core is the trade promotion program, the program to support enterprises in building and developing brands in the direction of diversifying methods. Thereby providing practical and effective support for enterprises, associations and localities. The Provincial People's Committee has approved budget support focusing on activities such as: Conference to promote the consumption of lychees, oranges, grapefruits and other typical and potential products; conference to promote the consumption of hill chickens and agricultural and forestry products - handicrafts; annual industrial fairs and OCOP products of Bac Ninh; support for enterprises participating in fairs in Ho Chi Minh City, Hanoi, Gia Lai, Thanh Hoa, Lao Cai, Lang Son... Total retail sales of goods and service revenue in Bac Ninh in the first 8 months are estimated at over VND 96.4 trillion, up 20.28% compared to the first 8 months of 2024. The proportion of Vietnamese goods sold in supermarkets and convenience stores in the province reached over 90%; in traditional retail channels such as markets and grocery stores, the proportion of Vietnamese goods accounted for over 60%.

In July this year, Bac Ninh province was newly formed with a population of over 3.6 million people; an economic scale of about 439.8 trillion VND, ranking 5th in the country; the province has 32 industrial parks and 64 existing industrial clusters. Therefore, the room for trade and service development is very large.

To make the most of the space and promote the development of the domestic consumption market, according to the Department of Industry and Trade, the unit will continue to closely follow the market situation, supply and demand of goods in the province to effectively organize forecasting work; promptly propose to the Ministry of Industry and Trade and the Provincial People's Committee to deploy necessary solutions. Encourage and create favorable conditions for businesses to promote the development of professional distribution channels; create a wholesale and retail system, distributed harmoniously in the province, well serving production and business requirements and meeting the consumption needs of the people. Promote the effectiveness of 2 points of promotion and sale of Vietnamese goods called "Proud of Vietnamese goods" in Tay Yen Tu and Xuan Luong communes. At the same time, guide and support businesses and business establishments in the province to organize activities to stimulate consumption and boost people's spending, such as: Promotional programs, customer appreciation in December and on the occasion of Lunar New Year; program "Vietnamese people prioritize using Vietnamese goods"; programs "Bringing Vietnamese goods to rural areas", "Bringing Vietnamese goods to sell in industrial parks and clusters"..., to promote the consumption of goods and agricultural products of the province, contributing to promoting the socio-economic development of the province.
