Recently, Toyota Vietnam Automobile Company announced its sales figures for the past month of August. Accordingly, in August 2025, nationwide sales of Toyota models reached 5,171 units, including 1,593 domestically assembled vehicles and 3,578 completely imported vehicles.

Thus, compared to the previous month, Toyota Vietnam's sales in August 2025 decreased by 22.4%. By the end of August 2025, Toyota had delivered a total of more than 41,000 vehicles to customers, recording a growth of 23% over the same period in 2024.

Also in August 2025, Toyota's hybrid vehicle sales recorded a 6.2% decrease to 708 units. However, compared to the same period last year, Toyota's hybrid vehicles have doubled.

In the luxury car segment, Lexus sold 235 units in August 2025, up 35.8%. To date, Lexus has delivered a total of 15,024 vehicles to Vietnamese customers since the brand was officially introduced to the market. If we add together the Toyota and Lexus brands, sales in August reached 5,406 units, down 20.9%.

In August 2025, Yaris Cross continued to make its mark by maintaining its leading position in sales of Toyota Vietnam with 1,012 vehicles sold, down 19.6%. Coming in next is the small sedan Toyota Vios with sales of 726 vehicles, down 40.1%.

Meanwhile, Toyota Corolla Cross, Veloz Cross and Innova Cross models achieved sales of 673 units, 639 units and 577 units respectively. Compared to July 2025, sales of all three models decreased.

Toyota Vietnam's sales decline in August 2025 is not surprising. The reason is that the Vietnamese auto market has entered a low point due to consumers' psychology of avoiding buying cars during the 7th lunar month.
