- On September 6, a working delegation of the Provincial People's Committee led by Mr. Duong Xuan Huyen, member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Permanent Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, inspected the response work to storm No. 3 in the districts of Cao Loc, Binh Gia, and Bac Son.

The working group inspected the actual situation at Khuoi Cam Lake, Hoa Cu Commune, Cao Loc District.

According to the report at the inspection session, implementing the direction of the Provincial People's Committee, the People's Committees of Cao Loc, Binh Gia, and Bac Son districts have issued documents and telegrams on focusing on emergency response to storm No. 3; directed specialized departments and People's Committees of communes and towns to proactively monitor, inspect, urge, and deploy prevention and response to heavy rains in accordance with the actual situation at the units and areas in charge; simultaneously deploy flood and storm prevention and control work according to the "4 on-site" motto; directed relevant specialized agencies and units to coordinate with enterprises exploiting irrigation works to operate and deploy measures to ensure dam safety; organized forces to inspect and review residential areas and low-lying areas at risk of flooding, flash floods, landslides, etc.

Up to this point, the districts have basically proactively prepared plans to respond to the developments of storm No. 3; arranged equipment, forces, and means to serve the work of disaster prevention and control and search and rescue; placed warning signs in areas at high risk of landslides, flooding, and landslides from previous rains; relocated and evacuated a number of households in areas at high risk of landslides to safe places to avoid the storm...

During the inspection, representatives of several departments, branches, and leaders of the People's Committees of the districts focused on clarifying plans to overcome landslides and preparations to respond to the storm; at the same time, proposing measures to respond to the next developments of storm No. 3 as well as the flood situation after the storm.

Speaking at the conclusion of the inspection, the Standing Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee highly appreciated the proactiveness and positivity of the districts in preparing to respond to storm No. 3.

He requested: Party committees and authorities from district to commune level, members of the Steering Committee for Disaster Prevention and Control and Search and Rescue of districts to continue to strengthen leadership and direction in response to storm No. 3; closely monitor storm No. 3 news to promptly deploy response work with the motto "4 on-site". At the same time, districts continue to perfect plans and scenarios to proactively respond to storm No. 3 and organize inspections, urge drastic and effective implementation to ensure absolute safety of people's lives and property; resolutely evacuate households in areas at risk of landslides and flash floods; promote information and propaganda to all people to proactively respond to rain and storms.

Along with that, the districts actively screen low-lying areas at risk of flooding and landslides to organize and arrange forces to guard, control, guide, and support to ensure safety for people and passing vehicles; organize and operate plans to ensure safety of dams, traffic safety, headquarters, and public works; organize forces to handle flooded areas, clear water flows, and ensure convenient movement of vehicles...

Previously, the working group inspected landslide sites and some lakes and dams in the three districts above.
