On December 30th, the Investigation Police Department of Nui Thanh District ( Quang Nam Province ) announced that they have initiated a criminal case, indicted the suspects, and issued a travel ban against Ung Thuong Hien, Director of My Tan An Cooperative (Tam Xuan 1 Commune, Nui Thanh District), and Trieu Thanh Tien, Director of Tran Gia Co., Ltd., for abusing their positions and authority while performing their official duties, related to the falsification of project settlement documents at My Tan An Cooperative.
The Investigation Police Department of Nuoi Thanh District Police read out the decision to prosecute Ung Thuong Hien.
According to the investigation results, Ung Thuong Hien, in his role as Director of My Tan An Cooperative, abused his position and authority to direct the creation of fraudulent documents to settle accounts for new construction projects, misusing funds provided by the Quang Nam Provincial People's Committee for the construction of the new headquarters.
Regarding Trieu Thanh Tien, although Tran Gia Company only carried out the renovation of the My Tan An Cooperative's office building, Trieu Thanh Tien fabricated the final settlement documents for the new construction of the My Tan An Cooperative's office building to help Ung Thuong Hien improperly settle the accounts, causing a loss of 200 million VND to the state.
The case is currently being further investigated by the Criminal Investigation Agency of the Nuoi Thanh District Police.
