Responding to the Program of planting 1 billion new trees launched by the Prime Minister , on the morning of March 7, at Dong Sam Street, Khanh Thinh Commune (Yen Mo), the Provincial Federation of Labor organized the launching ceremony of "Tree Planting Festival to forever remember Uncle Ho" in 2024.
Attending the launching ceremony were comrade Do Viet Anh, member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Mass Mobilization Commission; leaders of the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee; leaders of the Provincial Labor Federation, Department of Natural Resources and Environment, Yen Mo district.
In recent years, trade unions at all levels from the provincial to the grassroots have proactively advised, proposed, and coordinated with heads of agencies and business owners to do a good job of promoting the living and working environment, saving water resources, treating water to standards before discharging it into the environment, limiting concrete and steel in unnecessary places, investing in machinery and equipment, minimizing noise and dust in the environment, and increasing tree planting to create landscape highlights for urban and rural areas.
The tree planting movement at all levels of trade unions has been launched annually by the Provincial Federation of Labor and has become a beautiful tradition of trade unions at all levels during each Tet and spring occasion.
After more than 3 years of launching, up to now, the trade unions at all levels have planted 16,534 new trees of all kinds with a total amount of nearly 4.5 billion VND. The Provincial Labor Federation alone has planted 523 trees with a total amount of 239 million VND.
This year, the Provincial Federation of Labor organized the planting of 350 wild cinnamon trees, propagated from the Heritage tree of Bac Giang province, to be planted in Khanh Thinh commune, Yen Mo district. This is a precious tree that can live for thousands of years, has a characteristic scent, and its wood is often used to make medicine, fine art, and household items...

After the launching ceremony, delegates installed a signboard for the union tree road project to celebrate the 70th anniversary of the Dien Bien Phu victory, the 95th anniversary of the founding of the Vietnam Trade Union, and the 10th anniversary of the Trang An Scenic Landscape Complex being recognized as a World Cultural and Natural Heritage.
