April 30 - May 1 ceremony: Da Nang releases doves of peace to welcome the reunification train

The North-South 'unification train' running on the occasion of April 30 - May 1 received a special welcome in Da Nang City. Passengers were given flowers and souvenirs, enjoyed traditional art and released doves of peace.

On April 23, the Danang City Tourism Promotion Center announced that on the occasion of the April 30 - May 1 holiday, commemorating the 50th anniversary of the complete liberation of the South and the reunification of the country, the unit coordinated with Vietnam Railways Corporation to welcome a pair of special trains running on the North - South route named "Unification Train" with new activities.

Specifically, at Da Nang Station, the Tourism Promotion Center organized a traditional art performance with a traditional orchestra in the train waiting area. Passengers stopping at Da Nang Station enjoyed the welcome drum performance, and were given flowers and souvenirs.

Traditional art activities on the Da Nang - Hue heritage train will be performed to welcome tourists on the occasion of April 30 - May 1.

Passengers are especially invited to participate in the dove release at the station. The "unification train" including SE1 departs from Hanoi station at 20:55 on April 29, and is expected to arrive in Da Nang at 12:32 on April 30 with 240 passengers getting off at Da Nang station.

Train SE4 departs from Saigon at 7:00 p.m. on April 29, expected to arrive in Da Nang at 12:42 p.m. on April 30, with an expected number of 69 passengers getting off in Da Nang.

According to the Department of Tourism of Da Nang City, the number of visitors to Da Nang by train during the April 30 - May 1 holidays is estimated at about 13,243, an increase of 10% over the same period in 2024.

Danang Port Joint Stock Company added that it is expected that during the April 30 - May 1 holiday this year, the ship Aidastella will dock at Tien Sa port with 2,000 multinational passengers (USA, UK, Germany, Canada, Netherlands...) to visit famous destinations of Danang City such as Ngu Hanh Son scenic spot, Linh Ung Son Tra Pagoda, Cham Sculpture Museum...
