April 30 - May 1 ceremony: Da Nang releases doves of peace to welcome the reunification train

On April 23, the Da Nang City Tourism Promotion Center announced that on the occasion of the April 30 - May 1 holiday, commemorating the 50th anniversary of the complete liberation of the South and national reunification, the unit coordinated with Vietnam Railways Corporation to welcome a pair of special trains running on the North - South route named "Unification Train" with new activities.

Specifically, at Da Nang Station, the Tourism Promotion Center organized a traditional art performance with a traditional musical ensemble in the train waiting area. Passengers stopping at Da Nang Station enjoyed a welcome drum performance and were given flowers and souvenirs.

Traditional art activities on the Da Nang - Hue heritage train will be performed to welcome tourists on the occasion of April 30 - May 1.

Passengers are especially invited to participate in the dove release activity at the station. The "unification train" including train SE1 departs from Hanoi station at 20:55 on April 29, expected to arrive in Da Nang at 12:32 on April 30 with 240 passengers getting off at Da Nang station.

Train SE4 departs from Saigon at 7:00 p.m. on April 29, and is expected to arrive in Da Nang at 12:42 p.m. on April 30. The number of passengers arriving in Da Nang is expected to be 69.

According to the Department of Tourism of Da Nang City, the number of visitors to Da Nang by train during the April 30 - May 1 holiday is estimated at about 13,243, an increase of 10% over the same period in 2024.

Danang Port Joint Stock Company added that it is expected that during the April 30 - May 1 holiday this year, the Aidastella cruise ship will dock at Tien Sa port with 2,000 multinational guests (USA, UK, Germany, Canada, Netherlands...) to visit famous destinations in Danang City such as Ngu Hanh Son scenic spot, Linh Ung Son Tra Pagoda, Cham Sculpture Museum...
