Border Sim Flower Festival 2025: Purple border color - Connecting heritage

Launched in 2022, the festival is not only an annual cultural activity but also a highlight in developing community tourism associated with improving the lives of people in border areas. Over four seasons, the festival has attracted tens of thousands of visitors, affirming its position as a typical tourism product of Mong Cai city.

This year's festival has many rich activities: ethnic cultural space, highland fair, Dao and San Chi ethnic culinary performances with specialties such as khau nhuc, canarium with galangal salt, humpbacked square glutinous rice, three-color rice... Along with that are folk games, women's football, traditional art performances.

The highlight of the festival is the Mong Cai Half Marathon 2025, attracting thousands of athletes to participate on the route covered with purple sim flowers, connecting sports with culture and nature of the border area. This is not only an opportunity to explore the beautiful landscape of Hai Son, home to the historic Po Hen, 72-room waterfall - Trang Vinh lake, sim hill, Panai mountain... but also contributes to promoting the image of Mong Cai - a land rich in tradition, which is changing strongly thanks to tourism.
