On the occasion of the 134th anniversary of President Ho Chi Minh's birthday (May 19, 1890 - May 19, 2024), towards the 25th anniversary of the re-establishment of Van Lam district (September 1, 1999 - September 1, 2024), on May 17, at the Van Lam District Cultural House, Van Lam district held the traditional festival of Releasing Doves in 2024.
This is an annual activity held to continue promoting, transmitting and preserving cultural values in traditional local festivals...
The festival attracted a large number of artisans from 15 flying pigeon clubs including: 4 flying pigeon clubs from communes in Van Lam district and clubs from: Gia Lam district ( Hanoi city), Thuan Thanh town (Bac Ninh province) and My Hao town.
According to the Organizing Committee's assessment, the pigeons are of good quality, well-trained, and carefully selected...
Within the framework of the festival, there are also activities such as: Chess competition; folk dance; men's volleyball...
At the end of the festival, the Organizing Committee awarded 1 First Prize, 2 Second Prizes, 3 Third Prizes, 4 Encouragement Prizes to the artisans and the prize for the artisan who released the 134th flock of birds; awarded prizes to the teams and athletes with excellent achievements in the sports competitions.
