The launching ceremony of the Food Safety Action Month 2024 has the theme "Continuing to ensure food security and safety in the new situation", aiming to promote propaganda, education , raise awareness, responsibility and action of cadres, party members and people in ensuring food security and safety. At the same time, promote the role and responsibility of organizations, individuals and enterprises in enforcing food safety laws; promptly inform about safe, high-quality food supply chains, violating establishments, and potential risks of food security and safety.

Food business, production and distribution establishments sign a commitment to ensure food hygiene and safety.

During the Food Safety Action Month 2024, many response activities were deployed throughout the province, such as: organizing launching ceremonies, parades, and propaganda; implementing communication campaigns to ensure food safety; establishing interdisciplinary food safety inspection teams.

In recent times, the work of ensuring food safety in the province has achieved remarkable results, such as: the coordination of the sectors assigned to manage food safety is increasingly tight and effective; propaganda work is promoted through many rich and diverse forms; inspection, supervision and handling of violations of food safety are strengthened. In the past 2 years, the province has reduced food poisoning cases, not allowing many people to be infected by food poisoning...

Speaking at the launching ceremony, Ms. Giang Thi Dung, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, requested all levels, sectors and people to actively respond to and effectively implement the goals of the Action Month and have synchronous, strong and breakthrough solutions in ensuring food safety. In particular, focusing on implementing a number of key tasks and solutions, such as: 100% of districts, towns and cities organize the launching ceremony of "Action Month for food safety" at the district level to raise awareness and responsibility of authorities at all levels, departments, sectors, organizations...; all levels and sectors continue to proactively advise the Provincial Party Committee and the Provincial People's Committee to effectively direct and implement state management of food safety in the province; synchronously deploy and strengthen propaganda and education to raise awareness of all levels, sectors and all people on ensuring food security and safety.

In addition, strengthen state management in the field of food safety; promote planning, construction and development of safe agricultural production areas, concentrated livestock and slaughter areas; form and develop clean and organic agricultural chains; apply high technology in controlling food safety right from input factors; proactively monitor food contamination risks according to key topics and products with high contamination risks in the area.

After the launching ceremony, units, departments, branches, armed forces, union members and youth participated in a parade in response to the Food Safety Action Month 2024 on the streets of Pho Lu town, Bao Thang district (photo above).
