On the afternoon of October 19, the closing ceremony of the B/AFC/VFF certificate football coach training course took place at the Vietnam Football Federation (VFF). Here, 24 members, including former player Le Quoc Vuong, completed the course.

Quoc Vuong used to coach Hoa Binh Club in the 2023 first division. This season, he moved to become assistant coach to coach Nguyen Thanh Cong at Ha Tinh Club.

Quoc Vuong shared at the closing ceremony: "After this course, the coaches can implement a systematic course for youth teams within a year. That is the valuable thing I learned. Coach Akira and teacher Koshida are also very humane and dedicated. I hope VFF will have more classes so that students can progress, work and contribute to help Vietnamese football develop further. We will try our best."

Mr. Koshida Takeshi, VFF Technical Director in charge of the course, shared: "During the mid-term break, I asked the students to do their homework. The students made an effort, so in the second session held in Hanoi , we ended the course well. Maybe at first the students were a bit unconfident, but then they gradually improved. This is purely the beginning, not the end.

To develop Vietnamese football, we need the cooperation of the students here. After today, I hope you will return to the club and hope we will meet again."

Instructor Akira Ijiri, head coach of Vietnam's U.19 and U.17 women's teams, also expressed his opinion: "The students have worked hard and done well. I have been in Vietnam for 5 years, and this is my third year participating in the training course. The change of the Technical Director at VFF, from one Japanese (Mr. Adachi Yusuke) to another Japanese (Mr. Koshida Takeshi) is a good thing.

I am happy that Vietnamese football believes in Japanese football. I hope that in the future there will be people who will become lecturers of this course. Football still has many things to learn, and we must learn well, then we can develop football."

VFF President Tran Quoc Tuan affirmed that coaching training will create a foundation for youth football development, contributing to helping Vietnamese football nurture its World Cup dream.

"On behalf of the VFF Executive Committee, I would like to congratulate the students who have completed 2 terms of the B-level course organized by VFF. I look forward to the AFC soon recognizing the certificates and reporting good news about the results achieved in this course to fulfill their dream of contributing to the development of local football in particular and Vietnamese football in general.

Football is a process, we need to focus on cultivating the roots. We can win or lose, but to have sustainable success, we must have sustainable moves. We learn from many football backgrounds, including seriously studying and learning from Japanese football. In the past 5 years, we have achieved, but to be sustainable and stable, Vietnamese football needs you a lot. VFF prioritizes investing in many courses, programs, seminars, and advanced training to update knowledge that have been implemented in the past time. But the most important factor is still the human factor. Degrees and certificates are just experience, and whether or not they are effective depends on people. We must constantly update and monitor the training process to have good people.

Vietnam's youth teams are trained continuously and in depth, from U.16, U.19, U.22, all of which are ahead of the Asian finals, always ensuring their presence in the Asian playground from 2015 to present. If Vietnam wants to participate in the World Cup, it must have a strong youth team. Thanks to the youth teams continuously participating in the finals, the successor force of the Vietnam team is now stable. Vietnamese football has the most youth teams participating in the Asian finals in Southeast Asia (U.23, U.20, U.17 men, U.17 women), which is a great effort for the players to approach high level, to meet strong teams in the continent from a young age, thereby accumulating useful experience," VFF President Tran Quoc Tuan shared.
