Memorial service and burial of 12 martyrs' remains at the National Martyrs' Cemetery on Road 9

On the morning of July 23, at the National Martyrs' Cemetery on Road 9, in a solemn and emotional atmosphere, the Party Committee, Government, armed forces and people of Quang Tri province held a memorial service and burial ceremony for 12 martyrs whose remains had just been recovered and exhumed by the Martyrs' Remains Collection Team of Division 968 - Military Region 4 in Chua village, Hieu Giang commune, Quang Tri province.

Attending the funeral and burial ceremony were Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council Nguyen Dang Quang; Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Tran Phong; members of the Standing Committee: Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Commission Truong An Ninh, Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Internal Affairs Commission Ly Kieu Van, Party Secretary, Chairman of the Dong Ha Ward People's Council Le Quang Chien; Colonel Dinh Xuan Huong, Deputy Head of Political Affairs of Military Region 4, Deputy Head of the Standing Committee, Steering Committee 515 of the Military Region; Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Council Nguyen Tran Huy; Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, Head of Steering Committee 515 Le Duc Tien; representatives of the leaders of the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee, departments, branches, localities, and related units.

Implementing the plan to search and collect martyrs' remains in the dry season of 2024 - 2025, from May 16 until now, after more than 1 month of working in the sun and rain in complex terrain conditions, with responsibility, affection and high determination, the Martyrs' Remains Collection Team of Division 968 - Military Region 4 has deployed the search and collection of 12 martyrs' remains in Chua village, Hieu Giang commune, to today bring the martyrs to rest at the National Martyrs' Cemetery on Road 9.

At the ceremony, in a solemn and respectful atmosphere, delegates, people, officers and soldiers of the armed forces respectfully offered flowers and incense, observed a moment of silence, and paid tribute to the martyrs who heroically fought and sacrificed for the cause of national liberation, national reunification, and the happiness of the people.
