Ly Hai has just released the main trailer of Flip Side 8: Sunny Bracelet , reveals more about the family story in the journey of pursuing the passion of young people.
After much speculation, Le Tuan Khang has appeared in the trailer with a seemingly "tailor-made" role. The male Tiktoker will play the role of a motorbike taxi driver who graduated from the University of Science and Technology, majoring in mechanical engineering. Although only a supporting character, the role of the "death anniversary on the islet" phenomenon promises to bring a lot of laughter to the audience.
Sharing the reason for choosing Le Tuan Khang for his project, Ly Hai admitted that he had never known who this content creator was when he came to the casting.
"Before that, I didn't know who Le Tuan Khang was. When you came to the casting, I saw that you were suitable for that role so I invited you. As for specific information about the role, I will keep it confidential. With Le Tuan Khang's ability, you will play this role well," Ly Hai said.
The male director affirmed that up until now, he has not chosen famous actors for his films. Ly Hai's criteria is to choose people who are suitable for the roles he desires.
Besides Le Tuan Khang, Meritorious Artist Chieu Xuan will also have a very interesting and surprising guest role. In addition, director Ly Hai and his wife - producer Minh Ha will also appear with a role in the film.
In the trailer, the different views between generations in the family are clearly shown. The grandmother, who is often thought of as a “person of the previous generation”, is the one who understands and supports the dreams of her two grandchildren the most. Partly because of her youth, she missed out on her dreams because she did not dare. The grandmother promises to be humorous, witty, as well as a solid support for her grandchildren on their journey to realize their dreams.
The trailer opens with a grand concert, with a stage full of lights and thousands of spectators. Immediately after, the image of white sand dunes appears, contrasting with the sun, wind, and aridity of cacti.
The use of color contrast is also an artistic intention of director Ly Hai. He wants to associate it with the people who live all year round on the sand dunes, becoming an artist is an overly unrealistic and frivolous dream.
In particular, once again in the trailer, the image of war in the coconut forest is recreated in the grandmother's memory. The longer flashback segment further shows the dedication of Ly Hai and the crew for this scene. The realistic explosion scene shows the fierceness of war, when human life is more fragile than ever.
In this project, Ly Hai wants to bring many emotions to generations of audiences, especially young people. Besides, he wants to convey a story that touches the deepest feelings inside each person, reminding us of family, of the emotional layers that we sometimes forget in the hustle and bustle of life.
“I believe that no matter what you do, where you are, who you are, how old you are, or in any situation, when you are happy, joyful, defeated, or disappointed in life, the most important thing is to share, a hug that can soothe, a strong shoulder, a warm embrace that will make you feel protected and loved,” director said.
