A representative of the Hanoi Social Insurance Agency said that pensions and social insurance benefits will be transferred to the beneficiaries' personal accounts on the 2nd of each month. In case the 2nd falls on a day off or holiday, the payment schedule will start from the first working day following the day off or holiday.
Since August 2 falls on Saturday, the social insurance agency will pay pensions to beneficiaries via personal accounts (ATM cards) on August 4 (Monday).
It is expected that Hanoi Social Insurance will pay about 4,096 billion VND to more than 595,000 beneficiaries (over 99.4%) via personal accounts. This agency will also pay in cash over 43.6 billion VND to more than 3,400 other beneficiaries after August 4.
Also from August 2025, people in Ho Chi Minh City, Binh Duong and Ba Ria - Vung Tau (old) will receive pensions according to the new schedule. Specifically, Ho Chi Minh City Social Insurance will directly transfer money to the beneficiary's account from the first working day of the month.
For cash payment: Ho Chi Minh City Post Office, Binh Duong Provincial Post Office, Ba Ria - Vung Tau Provincial Post Office (old) will organize payment at payment points from the 7th to the 10th of each month.
A representative of Quang Ninh Social Insurance said that the pension and social insurance allowance payment schedule will be implemented from August 1. Cash payments will be made in the following days.
It is worth noting that the beneficiary should pay attention to the authorization to receive pensions according to the provisions of the amended Law on Social Insurance: In the case of authorization to receive pensions, social insurance benefits and other regimes, the authorization document is valid for a maximum of 12 months from the date of establishing the authorization, and the authorization document must be certified according to regulations.
In case the authorization letter was established according to the provisions of the old Social Insurance Law 2014, it will be effective until June 30, 2026.
After July 1, 2026, beneficiaries must re-establish authorization or complete timely authentication procedures to avoid interruption in receiving monthly pensions and social insurance benefits.
Annually, beneficiaries of social insurance benefits through personal accounts opened at banks are responsible for coordinating with social insurance agencies or service organizations authorized by social insurance agencies to verify information on eligibility for social insurance benefits according to regulations.
