Pension and allowance payment schedule for August in Hanoi: Delayed by 1 day.

Regarding the payment of pensions and social insurance benefits in August, the Director of Hanoi Social Insurance, Phan Van Men, said that the unit will coordinate and begin payments to beneficiaries from August 5th using two methods: cash and personal bank accounts.

According to Decision 166/QD-BHXH of the Vietnam Social Security, the monthly pension and insurance benefit payment schedule is from the 2nd to the 25th of each month.

Explaining why pension and allowance payments to citizens would be delayed by one day compared to the usual schedule on August 5th, Mr. Men said that because August 4th was a Sunday, the unit would postpone the payment by one day to ensure that the process was thorough and convenient for the people.

It is projected that in August, approximately 97.25% of pension and social insurance benefit recipients in Hanoi will receive their payments directly into their personal bank accounts, equivalent to 578,000 people; the remaining 16,100 people will receive their payments in cash.

According to the Hanoi Social Insurance agency, the unit is preparing approximately 4,100 billion VND to pay pensions and allowances to people in August.

To achieve these results, the Hanoi Social Insurance agency has recently collaborated with relevant units to continue promoting widespread awareness about the benefits of receiving pensions and allowances through cashless methods.

In addition, the coordinating unit reviews and categorizes beneficiaries to implement appropriate communication and support measures for opening accounts… As a result, the number of people receiving pensions and social insurance benefits in cashless forms is increasing.

Based on Government Decree No. 75/2024/ND-CP on the adjustment of pensions, social insurance benefits, and monthly allowances, Vietnam Social Insurance will disburse pensions and allowances at the new rates in July.

On the very first day that Decree 75 came into effect (July 1st), Hanoi Social Insurance meticulously organized the payment of pensions according to the new benefit levels, ensuring that beneficiaries received their payments promptly, accurately, and safely.

In the July 2024 payment period, 593,757 people in Hanoi received pensions and social insurance benefits totaling over 4,082 billion VND, an increase of over 519 billion VND compared to June 2024.

Of these, payments were made through personal accounts for 562,569 people, reaching 94.75% (an increase of 274,627 people compared to June 2024) with a total amount on the payment list exceeding 3.879 billion VND; payments were made in cash for 31,188 people with a total amount on the payment list exceeding 203 billion VND.
