On the competition day yesterday, October 5, Vietnam won 2 bronze medals in karate and jujitsu. By the end of October 5, Vietnam won 2 gold medals, 3 silver medals, 16 bronze medals, ranking 20th out of 45 countries and territories participating in the Games. With 2 gold medals won in shooting and sepak takraw, Vietnam has also completed the target set before departure. Today (October 6), in the semi-finals of the 19th ASIAD women's volleyball tournament taking place at 1:30 p.m., the Vietnamese women's volleyball team (ranked 39th in the world ) will face the Japanese team (ranked 9th in the world). Although rated lower than their opponents, Tran Thi Thanh Thuy and her teammates are expected to play a "rebellious" match to surprise their opponents. The most recent encounter in the third-place match of the 2023 Asian Volleyball Championship took place in early September, when the Vietnamese team lost 2-3 to their opponent.
