The opening round of the 2025 SEA V.League women's volleyball tournament will take place in Nakhon Ratchasima (Thailand) from August 1 to 3. The Vietnamese women's volleyball team, led by coach Nguyen Tuan Kiet, arrived in Thailand on July 30 to complete the final preparations.
The list of players called up includes 14 outstanding athletes such as captain Tran Thi Thanh Thuy, Vi Nhu Quynh, Nguyen Thi Uyen; opposite players Bich Tuyen, Kieu Trinh; middle blockers Bich Thuy, Nguyen Trinh, Pham Thi Hien; two setters Lam Oanh and Kim Thoa; and liberos Khanh Dang, Ly Ly and Ninh Anh.
Compared to the force at VTV Cup 2025, the return of libero Ly Ly to replace main striker Nguyen Phuong is a notable point, aiming to strengthen the defensive ability of the back line - especially necessary when facing teams with good physical strength like Thailand or Indonesia.
According to the schedule, the Vietnamese women's volleyball team will face Indonesia (August 1), the Philippines (August 2) and Thailand (August 3).
