The British leader is expected to arrive in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) on the evening of December 8, before holding talks on the morning of December 9 with the host country's President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan.
Then, on the evening of December 9, Mr Starmer will fly to Saudi Arabia to meet the country's de facto leader, Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman.
The regional tour will conclude on 10 December with Prime Minister Starmer meeting Cypriot President Nikos Christodoulides in the capital Nicosia. This will be the first bilateral meeting between the two countries' leaders in more than five decades.
Mr Starmer will also address British troops stationed in Cyprus.
The British leader's trip to Abu Dhabi and Riyadh comes as his government pursues a free trade agreement with the six Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) states of Bahrain, Kuwait, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia and the UAE.
In a statement on December 7, British Prime Minister Starmer shared: "This region has huge untapped potential, which is why, while here, I will make the argument for accelerating progress on the Free Trade Agreement with the GCC."
The discussions will also aim to deepen research and development cooperation and Britain's ties with these countries in areas including defence and artificial intelligence, he said.
