Can Tho City Badminton Federation has a new president

(CT) - On the morning of May 7, the Can Tho City Badminton Federation held a Congress for the 2023-2027 term. The Congress elected a new Executive Committee of 15 members, with Mr. Le Hoang Dung, Head of the Badminton Club of Can Tho College of Economics and Technology, as President of the Federation.

According to the 2017-2022 term activity report, the Can Tho City Badminton Federation has actively developed the movement, organized tournaments and mobilized athletes to participate in competitions... compose, the whole city currently has more than 23,000 people participating in badminton training at 159 courts in 9 districts, schools, and sports businesses. The Federation has introduced many athletes to compete in badminton at the 8th Mekong Delta Sports Festival - 2020, provincial, city, and national tournaments, and regional and national invitational and friendly tournaments.

The Federation has set out the key tasks for the new term as continuing to mobilize and develop 500 members; establishing more clubs and branches at the district and county levels to achieve the target of 20 affiliated clubs; Strengthen the organization and hosting of tournaments, and sending athletes to participate. In addition, the Federation focuses on training and professional training for members, with the goal of training 50 city-level referees. The Federation will also strive to mobilize social resources to support activities in this new term.
