LION Championship 24: Manh Long Dai Viet competes with Phong Hoa Son Lam

Vietnam's largest mixed martial arts (MMA) tournament, LION Championship, taking place at Tay Ho Stadium (Hanoi) on July 12, promises to be explosive with a series of dramatic matches.

The highlight of the 24th LION Championship event is 3 matches in a 2v2 format, in which 2 pairs of Vietnamese boxers will compete with opponents from Cambodia, and 1 pair of home boxers will face off against a Chinese team.

Vietnamese martial artists such as Nguyen Thanh Thoan - Ha The Anh (group name: Manh Long Dai Viet), Do Nguyen Minh Quyen - Phan Huy Hoang (group name: Dong Son), Le Van Vu - Vo Minh Nghia (group name: Au Lac) will represent the fighting spirit and strength of Vietnam.

The 2v2 match between the Great Dragon Dai Viet team and the Phong Hoa Son Lam team (China) is the highlight of this LION Championship 24.

Vietnamese boxers will compete with pairs of boxers from China and Cambodia, in which the duo from China: Truong Yen Long - Gia Dien Tan (group name: Phong Hoa Son Lam) is attracting much attention.

Notably, the Chinese boxers sent a challenge to the Nguyen Thanh Thoan – Ha The Anh pair. In response, the two Vietnamese boxers also promised to do their best to win the upcoming match.

LION Championship is a tournament jointly organized by the Vietnam Mixed Martial Arts Federation (VMMAF) and Vietnam Mixed Martial Arts Joint Stock Company (VIMMA).

This year's season marks many innovations when it applies 4 competition formats for the first time: MMA Striking (standing combat), MMA Ground Fight (ground combat), MMA Duo (2v2 duels) and MMA Gauntlet (3v3 combat).

Since kicking off in April at Tay Ho Stadium, the LION Championship series has quickly attracted great attention from fans thanks to its eye-catching matches, diverse techniques and sharp tactics.

Vietnamese martial artists also left a strong impression with their steadfast fighting spirit and remarkable progress, contributing to raising the level of MMA in the country on the regional map.
