The Premier League champions have held internal discussions over the past week about potential transfer targets, with names such as Alexander Isak, Yoane Wissa, Ollie Watkins and Victor Osimhen mentioned.
Isak tops the list as Liverpool look set to break their transfer record again this summer, should Newcastle agree to sell.

However, the deal was difficult because the "magpies" refused to negotiate. That forced The Kop to turn to Hugo Ekitike - the goalscorer who made waves in the Bundesliga.
Last week, Newcastle also submitted a £70m offer to Frankfurt, lower than the £86m release clause in Ekitike's contract.
Officials at St James's Park feel Ekitike are not keen on a transfer. That opens the door for Liverpool, as money is not a big issue for Arne Slot's team.
Liverpool are determined to invest heavily this summer to change the face of the squad. Besides, they are also trying to sell surplus players to recover the money they have spent.
West Ham want both Harvey Elliott and Tyler Morton, for a combined fee of around £55m.
Luis Diaz is another case with an uncertain future. Bayern Munich are trying to bring the Colombian striker to the Allianz Arena, but an initial bid of £58.5m has been rejected.
