Electricity is an important infrastructure sector. Power development must be one step ahead and have a long-term vision, creating a foundation to promote rapid and sustainable development of industries, ensuring the autonomy of countries.

In the context of the ever-increasing global energy demand, especially in developing countries like Vietnam, the search for clean, efficient and sustainable energy sources is a strategic priority in socio -economic development policies.

Currently, NIC is focusing on building a clean energy ecosystem through knowledge sharing, connecting experts and businesses, updating issues and new trends in the industry and promoting extensive cooperation, contributing to the implementation of the Government's commitment to energy transition and sustainable development.

According to Mr. Do Tien Thinh, Deputy Director of NIC, liquefied natural gas (LNG) is oriented as a suitable transitional energy source, very worthy of attention...

Vietnam is accelerating the energy transition, gradually reducing its dependence on coal, expanding renewable energy sources, and effectively exploiting the intermediary role of LNG – a low-emission, safe fuel that can be flexibly integrated with future green technologies.

According to research by many organizations around the world , LNG helps reduce CO₂ emissions by 30–40% compared to coal, acting as a "bridge" in the transition to renewable energy.

Delegates also exchanged information on the LNG market, supply-demand situation as well as investment, processing and supply needs in the world as well as practices in Vietnam.

SK representative said that the group wants to expand investment in Vietnam, together with Vietnam in the energy transition towards the goal of zero net emissions by 2050.
