The replacement for coach Thanh Cong in Ha Tinh has been revealed

Coach Nguyen Cong Manh will lead Ha Tinh in the 2025/26 season after coach Nguyen Thanh Cong resigned due to health problems.

Ha Tinh officially reached an agreement with coach Nguyen Cong Manh after nearly a week of negotiations. The coach born in 1982 will lead the Hong Mountain team from the 2025/26 V.League season. After signing the contract, the former SLNA player had a team introduction and will start his first training session with Ha Tinh next week.

This is the second stop of coach Nguyen Cong Manh in V.League after Binh Duong. Last season, coach Cong Manh played the role of assistant at Binh Duong, before being promoted to replace coach Hoang Anh Tuan in the middle of the season. However, after a 1-3 defeat to Ha Tinh in round 21, he left the team in Thu Dau Mot.

For Ha Tinh fans, Coach Nguyen Cong Manh is not a strange name. He spent more than four years as an assistant at this team under coaches Pham Minh Duc and Nguyen Thanh Cong. At the end of the 2022/23 season, Coach Cong Manh left the team to complete the Pro Coach course. After that, he briefly worked as an assistant at U23 Vietnam.

Returning to the Hong Mountain team this time, Coach Nguyen Cong Manh will have his first opportunity to be the “captain” from the beginning of the season. He has full authority to make decisions about expertise and personnel. This is a favorable condition for the young strategist to affirm his ability to lead the team.

To prepare for the new season after saying goodbye to some key players, Ha Tinh plans to promote about 8 young players to the first team and add a few new recruits. The Hong Mountain team will have more than two weeks of training before participating in a friendly tournament in Quang Nam , to review the force before the V.League 2025/26.
